Shak Folds to Cahill's Shove

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Dan Shak raised to 25,000 and Alexander Petersen called in the big blind. Petersen check-raised the {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop and Shak folded.

Over on the other table, Anson Tsang raised to 35,000 and Martin Kozlov called in the big blind. The flop brought {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Kozlov check-folded to a bet of 43,000.

Back over to table one, Petersen raised the button for 25,000 and Shak called the small blind, as did Seamus Cahill in the big blind. The flop came {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Shak checked, Cahill moved all in for 52,000. While Petersen quickly folded, Shak needed more time and asked for a count. He engaged in some table chat and said "I know you have a hearts draw," he said.

Ultimately, Shak open-folded the {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

Lindop Fades The Backdoor Straight

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Down to just 40,000, Alex Lindop was all in and at risk, Anson Tsang was the one that looked him up on the button.

Alex Lindop: {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Anson Tsang: {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

On the {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, Lindop hit middle set and someone said "drawing dead," referring to Tsang's hand. However, the {8-Diamonds} turn gave Tsang a lot of outs for a straight. The {4-Clubs} river was a blank and Lindop doubled.

Petersen Wins Big Pot Off Cahill

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

The last hand of the previous level over on table one lasted several minutes into the new level, as Seamus Cahill was deep into the think tank in a big pot against Alexander Petersen.

Petersen had raised to 20,000 and Cahill called in the cutoff. The flop came {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades} and both players checked. On the {A-Hearts} turn, Petersen bet 30,000 and Cahill called.

The {3-Hearts} appeared on the river and Petersen now checked. Cahill bet 55,000 and Petersen check-raised to 200,000. After more than four minutes in the tank, Cahill called and Petersen showed {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for the nut flush to drag in a massive pot. Cahill was left very short and jammed once to claim the blinds in the new level.

Panagiotis Sotiriadis gave up a pot against Seamus Cahill on the river and soon after raised it up to 22,000, which Alexander Petersen on the button called. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Sotiriadis checked, then called a bet of 20,000 by Petersen.

On the {Q-Diamonds} turn, Sotiriadis checked once more and called a second bet worth 30,000. Both checked the {K-Diamonds} on the river and the Greek announced one pair. Petersen had that beat with {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} and that won the pot.

Over on table two, Alex Lindop raised to 35,000 with 16,000 behind and Anson Tsang called in the small blind. Tsang bet the very 16,000 on the {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop and Lindop sighed.

"Couldn't have asked for a much worse flop," the Brit said but called all in.

Alex Lindop: {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Anson Tsang: {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

On the {10-Clubs} turn, Lindop was on his way out, but the {K-Clubs} river provided a miracle split pot.

Tsang Keeps Firing

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Anson Tsang raised on the button and Chris Dowling called in the big blind. On the {K-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop, Dowling checked and Tsang bet 64,000, which Dowling called after some consideration.

On the {Q-Diamonds} turn, Dowling checked once again and Tsang now fired a pot-sized bet of 183,000. Dowling went deep into the think tank and folded.

The next hand, Cord Garcia raised the pot to 35,000 first to act and fellow short stack Alex Lindop defended the big blind. On the {5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Lindop check-folded to a jam and was shown the {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs} by Garcia.

Relentless Tsang; Aces for Shak

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Anson Tsang has raised the vast majority of hands and barely found any resistance to claim the blinds. Alex Lindop and Cord Garcia haven't been able to chip and drop into the danger zone.

Over on table one, Dan Shak raised to 25,000 and Panagiotis Sotiriadis called from the big blind. They checked down a board of {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Shak announced aces, flashed {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Sotiriadis nodded and mucked.

Mattila Jams Into Petersen; Shak Chips Up

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Ville Mattila raised the pot and Alexander Petersen called in the big blind. On the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop, Petersen checked and Mattila moved all in for 63,000 to force a fold.

Shortly after, a limped pot to the {J-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop brought a bet of 20,000 by Petersen in the small blind and Dan Shak called in the big blind. The {8-Hearts} appeared on the turn and Petersen bet 50,000. Shak raised the pot and Petersen open-folded {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} for two pair and a straight.

Shak showed him the {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for the nut straight and redraw to a higher straight.
