Kozlov Doubles Through Tsang

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

The insanely hot run of Anson Tsang would have almost received another chapter for the storybook after he had Martin Kozlov all in and at risk, however, Kozlov doubled for 173,000 to remain in contention.

Martin Kozlov: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Anson Tsang: {A-Clubs}{K-}{J-}{7-}

The {J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop gave Tsang two pair, but the {6-Diamonds} turn and {5-Hearts} river run out counterfit that to ensure the double up for Kozlov.

Down to 13 Players; Timoshenko and Sipila Eliminated

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Yevgeniy Timoshenko
Yevgeniy Timoshenko

Murad Akhundov doubled through Yevgeniy Timoshenko after spiking the perfect river card on a board of {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} to score the full double with {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{2-Spades} for the nut straight.

Right after, Panagiotis Sotiriadis raised the button and Timoshenko jammed out of the small blind. Samuli Sipila reraised all in from the big blind and Sotiriadis called.

Yevgeniy Timoshenko: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Samuli Sipila: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Panagiotis Sotiriadis: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The {Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop gave Sotiriadis a flush draw and he instantly got there on the {3-Hearts} turn to secure the double knockout, which made the {4-Diamonds} river a formality.

Bujtas Busts to Tsang

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Laszlo Bujtas
Laszlo Bujtas

One hand after facing two barrels by Anson Tsang, Laszlo Bujtas jumped right back into the action against initial raiser Tsang and the same pattern emerged. However, this time Bujtas did call the barrels and ended up with a jack-high flush on a board of {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.

Unfortunately, Tsang had it this time and turned over {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for the nut flush and sent Bujtas to the rail, skyrocketing his own stack to more than one million.

Tsang Takes the Lead

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Panagiotis Sotiriadis raised to 18,000 and was called by Samuli Sipila in the cutoff and Seamus Cahill in the big blind. On the {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop, action checked to Sotiriadis and he bet 23,000, both opponents called. The {5-Diamonds} turn was checked to the Greek once more and he moved all in. That ended up winning the pot uncontested.

Over on table two, Anson Tsang raised to 20,000 and Laszlo Bujtas called on the button. The flop came {Q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Tsang fired 55,000, Bujtas called. On the {2-Diamonds} turn, Tsang bet the pot and Bujtas folded.

Over on the other table, Alexander Petersen raised in the cutoff and Ville Mattila called from the big blind. They checked the {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop and Mattila check-called a bet on the {J-Clubs} turn. Mattila checked the {9-Diamonds} river once more and Petersen bet 80,000. Mattila had just 114,000 behind and folded.

Stephensen Eliminated by Tsang

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante
Felix Stephensen
Felix Stephensen

In the cutoff, Seamus Cahill raised to 16,000 and Anson Tsang called on the button. Felix Stephensen in the small blind raised the pot to 72,000 and Cahill folded. Tsang reraised the pot and Stephensen had a decision to make with 100,000 behind. After two minutes in the think tank, he asked Tsang how much he started with and called a mere 10 seconds later.

Felix Stephensen: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Anson Tsang: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop gave Stephensen two pair, but they were counterfit on the {2-Spades} turn. Stephensen now needed a queen or jack to double, yet the {8-Spades} river was a blank. With 16 players remaining, a redraw for the last two tables will take place momentarily.
