Muskan_Sethi
Muskan_Sethi

The action started with a player raising to 3,800. It was called by Halim Tutku Kara on the button, as well as Muskan Sethi and Quentin Lecomte in the blinds.

The flop fell {2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{k-Spades} and the initial raiser continued for 5,500 after Sethi and Lecomte checked. Tutku Kara folded and Sethi opted to check-raise for 15,700. It was enough to make her opponents let it go and the Team PokerStars Pro racked the chips.

Team PokerStars Pro Negreanu Eliminated

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Daniel_Negreanu
Daniel_Negreanu

Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu was all in with his tournament life on the line against Kunal Manohar Punjwani when we got to the table, but the Canadian was ahead preflop.

Negreanu held {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} on the button, and Punjwani had called with {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} from the big blind.

The {3-Spades}{5-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop kept Negreanu in the lead but also gave Punjwani the flush draw. The turn was a very good {a-Diamonds} card for Negreanu as it reduced Punjwani's outs, but the {2-Clubs} on the river gave the latter a flush and Negreanu was eliminated early on in Day 2.

Kuo Among Latest Eliminations, But Already a Winner

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Kitty Kuo in the Main Event Field
Kitty Kuo in the Main Event Field

With the stream of players heading to the exit continuing, Kitty Kuo was among the recent bust out slips.

But according to her at the start of play, in her mind she'd already won, having defeated Danny Tang in a last longer challenge.

"Every time I'm drunk I make stupid bets," said Kuo as play got underway. "This one was because he said that he was better than me. I'm Asian player of the year three years in a row, but he was trying to tell me that he was better than me now.

"So then I was like - f*ck it, let's bet!"

The rules of the bet were simple. If Tang outlasted Kuo, he would win two 5% pieces of her Main Event. If Kuo outlasted Tang, he had to attend a spinning class.

"In Vegas I asked him to go to the gym every day and he never went! So I really wanted to get him to try the spin class. I will make him cry at the spin class!"

Kanit Leaves Hawkins with Crumbs

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Mustapha Kanit started the action with a raise of 3,500 and only Maurice Hawkins made the call in the big blind.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Hawkins check-called a continuation bet of 3,500 from Kanit. The {k-Spades} turn went check-check and the dealer showed the {3-Diamonds} on the river. Hawkins bet 6,100, leaving him with 5,500 behind. Kanit thought about it for a minute before making the call.

Holding {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, Hawkins couldn't win the hand, facing {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} in Kanit's hand for a pair of eights, and is now down to three big blinds.

Radoja Finds a Fold From Lakhdari

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Mark Radoja
Mark Radoja

The board showed {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and contained already around 15,000 when Mark Radoja checked in the big blind. Omar Lakhdari checked behind.

On the {q-Hearts} river, Radoja thought about his move for some time before pushing all in, putting Lakhdari's tournament at risk. The latter ended up folding and Radoja took down the pot.

The French player was left with 15,500 after that hand but was able to find a double up a few minutes later. On a blind versus blind situation, Lakhari was holding {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} against {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for his opponent. The board {5-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} improved Lakhdari's hand into two pairs and he is now up to a stack worth 30,000.
