Ahapau Takes One to Desimoni Cunha Mota

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The flop showed {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades} in a three-way pot when Siarhei Ahapau and the big blind player checked. Bruno Desimoni Cunha Mota sent a bet for 4,000 and only Ahapau stayed interested and made the call.

A {8-Clubs} appeared on the turn and both checked. The {k-Spades} completed the board on the river and Ahapau led out for 6,000. Desimoni Cunha Mota called but only to see {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs} in Ahapau's hand for two pair. Desimoni Cunha Mota mucked his cards.

The Brazilian player still has a very good start in this Day 2 as he already more than doubled his starting stack.

Baltateanu Miraculously Escapes

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Silviu Baltateanu was all in and his 160,000 stack was in the middle with {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}. He had a tough task ahead against the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} of his opponent and the {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop didn't help him either.

The {9-Clubs} on the turn took away one of his outs to win the hand but he gained tons to hit a flush on the board and chop the pot. The latter is exactly what happened when the {2-Clubs} fell on the river and Baltateanu celebrated what must have felt like a win.

The Brazilian showed {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a flush and scooped the pot.
