Katz Eliminated Before the Money

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Cary Katz was eliminated before the money was reached in the €5,300 EPT Barcelona Main Event. Katz got his chips in the middle with {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} against the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} of Siarhei Ahapau and the runout wasn't in his favor.

The dealer put the {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop on the table and Katz was drawing very thin. The {10-Spades} turn sealed his faith. The {q-Clubs} river was dealt as a courtesy and he was sent to the rail.

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

In the first hand, Molly Mossey bet 9,000 and it folded to Philippe Narboni in the big blind who shoved for 86,000, putting Mossey for a difficult decision.

" I wish you guys had this hand, it would already have been in the middle for a long time!" said Mossey jokingly to the table, that included Patrik Antonius, Guillaume Diaz, and Pete Chen.

Mossey ended up folding her hand reluctantly and Narboni grabbed the pot.

The hand after, Mossey raised again to 9,000 and Paul Hizer called in the big blind. Both checked on the {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop and the {8-Clubs} fell on the turn. Hizer checked and Mossey bet 7,000, which was enough to grab the pot without any resistance.
