Nice Start for Kebe

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Jon Gurrutxaga Alba started the action with a raise to 400 from the high-jack, called by Jimmy Kebe on the button and Salvatore Donato in the big blind.

A flop {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} was dealt and Alba made a continuation bet of 600 after Donato checked. Kebe called and Donato thought about his move for a minute before opting to three-bet to 2,000. Only Kebe stayed in the pot.

Donato announced a check in the dark before a {7-Hearts} came on the turn, and Kebe checked back.

Donato checked in the dark once more and the river fell the {8-Hearts}. Kebe tanked and fired 6,500 in the middle. Donato ended up calling but only to muck his cards after Kebe showed {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the flush.

Day 1b of the €2,200 EPT National High Roller Kicks Off at 7 p.m.

At 7 pm local time, Day 1b of the €2,200 EPT National High Roller gets underway as the players gather for their final opportunity to qualify for tomorrow's Day 2.

Last year, Tuomo Niskanen emerged as champion out of a 1,527-entry strong field, making a deal with Brian Kaufman to claim the trophy and €368,925 after a deal was made, guaranteeing Kaufman a nice €432,135 payday. The prize pool reached €2,962,380 and a similarly monstrous turnout and prize pool is expected again this year.

The 2019 PokerStars European Tour Barcelona event will follow the format of the EPT National but with 20-minutes levels and a break after every six levels. This is a freezeout event and play will finish when 15% of the field remains, with all the players being in the money.

Players get 30,000 in starting chips at blinds of just 100/100 to start, leaving some space for action. The survivors from both fields will be reunited on Monday, August 26 at noon and play down until a new champion is crowned.
