Margolin Puts Ignatov to the Test

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Timur Margolin kicked off the action with an open to 500. He had two calls behind before facing a three-bet to 2,000 from Pavel Ignatov on the button. Margolin wasn't done betting though and four-bet to 5,300. The other callers moved aside but Ignatov came along to see a flop.

It came down {2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Margolin continued for 3,500, which Ignatov called. On the {8-Hearts} turn, Margolin wasted no time moving all in for 12,500 and Ignatov laid it down. The pot brings Margolin back up to a little over starting stack.

Accidental Check by Liow

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

On a {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop, Seth Fischer and Marcus Liow checked to Maria Ho, who bet 1,000. Fischer called, Liow check-raised to 4,500, Ho called, and Fischer called as well.

On the {9-Clubs} turn, Fischer checked, Liow checked, and Ho checked as well. However, as soon as the {4-Hearts} river was dealt, Liow veered up and indicated he hadn't checked. However, his hand had made a tapping motion, both confirmed by the dealer and other players, and the floor ruled to proceed as normal.

The {4-Hearts} river got checked around as well and Fischer showed {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} to take down the hand.

Lin and Fast Lose Some

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Celina Lin is on a table that also features Jinghan Yan, Georges Hanna, Benny Glaser, and Ivan Deyra. The latter just five-bet shoved into a 4,500 bet and forced a fold.

Right after, Lin defended her big blind and check-called a bet of 1,300 on the {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades} turn. The {10-Clubs} river was checked and Lin showed {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. Her opponent had {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and scooped the pot.

A few tables over, Dietrich Fast lost an all in against a short stack when his {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} ended up second-best to {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} as the {k-Spades} appeared on the board.

Sam Higgs also already lost a decent chunk of his stack in the same tournament area.

Value for Margolin

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

With 9,100 in the pot and the turn showing {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs}, Timur Margolin in the hijack and Walid Bou Habib on the button called. The {a-Spades} followed on the river and Margolin made it 4,200 to go. Bou Habib tossed in a single chip for the call, but mucked when he was shown the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for trips aces by Margolin.

Odor Doubles Through Tomovic

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Antal Roth raised to 800 and Karoly Odor jammed on the button for the last 5,500. Aleksandar Tomovic got his last 6,000 in from the big blind and Roth folded.

Karoly Odor: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Aleksandar Tomovic: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The board came {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Odor doubled. Tomovic folded the next hand and doubled after, but remains in severe need of a miracle.

De Farias Eliminated by Grieco

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

All the chips went in pre in a classic flip between Eduardo De Farias and Francesco Grieco. De Farias was the player at risk after he got his last 11,200 chips in preflop against the Italian.

Francesco Grieco: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Eduardo De Farias: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Grieco connected on the {5-Clubs}{k-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop and with no jack to turn things around on the {5-Hearts} turn or {8-Spades} river, De Farias knocked the table before heading towards the door.
