Zeiter Puts Pressure on Malinowski

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Diego Zeiter opened to 6,500 in the cutoff, Wiktor Malinowski three-bet to 20,000 on the button, Zeiter four-bet to 50,000, and Malinowski called. The flop brought {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Zeiter continued for 34,000, met by a reasonably quick call from the Polish high staker.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and Zeiter moved all in, putting Malinowski for a decision for his final 125,000. He spent quite some time in the tank before open-folding {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

Catan Doubles Through Melogno

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Alll the cards were out with {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} on display. Guy Catan had moved all in for 24,500 and the table chip leader Pablo Melogno was the one with a decision to make. He called and turned over a pair of tens with {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, which wasn't enough to beat Catan's top pair jacks with {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. "Champion!" Catan said as he got the much-needed double this close to the bubble.

Celestino More Than Doubles

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jean-René Fontaine had also been in the hand and was out of the way when the completed board showed {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{j-Spades}. Paul-Francois Tedeschi had checked and Ariel Celestino moved all in for 39,000, which sent Tedeschi into the think tank.

The clock was called on Tedeschi once more, who reluctantly called and was shown {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} by Celestino. Tedeschi flashed {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for two pair and Fontaine said "I had a set of tens" in French.

Martini Gets a Warning

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Julien Martini
Julien Martini

Tamer Kamel limped from the hijack and Julien Martini put his big stack in the middle from the button. He had everyone at the table covered. The player in the big blind tanked for a while and Martini was talking to him while Kamel was also still in the hand. The player eventually folded and it was on Kamel.

Kamel though about it for another minute or so and Martini called the clock because he thought that he had enough time already. Kamel started to make a scene out of the situation and wanted a floor person present. Kamel called Martini ''an asshole'' for calling the clock and ''influencing the action'' in a multi-way pot.

Martini got a warning from the floor person for talking and the thirty-second countdown started. Kamel waited until his time ran out and he mucked his cards when his hand was declared dead.

Rabut Shows a Full House

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Pablo Melogno raise-folded against a jam by Fatima Moreira De Melo but remains one of the biggest stacks in the room.

Ludovic Geilich has jumped above half a million and Remi Castaignon just had to forfeit a pot to drop below that threshold.

On a completed board of {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts} with 110,000 in the middle, Eric Rabut shoved for 85,000. Castaignon reluctantly folded and flashed his cards, Rabut returned the favor and showed {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for a full house.
