Two In a Row for Huang

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

On the tail end of a hand between Wei Huang and Viktor Katzenberger, the board showed {8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Huang checked. Katzenberger bet 140,000 and Huang called to get shown {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a bluff, which he had beat with {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

One hand later, Rustam Hajiyev raised to 60,000 in the cutoff and Huang called from one seat over. Hajiyev bet small on the {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop and they checked the {8-Spades} turn and {7-Diamonds} river. Hajiyev tabled {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Huang claimed the pot with {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}.

Karoly Odor Eliminated in 20th Place (€32,150)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Karoly Odor and Rustam Hajiyev
Karoly Odor and Rustam Hajiyev

Karoly Odor moved all in for the last 335,000 and Rustam Hajiyev from one seat over inquired "can I have a count, please?" before moving all in over the top. That forced out all remaining players at the table to set up the following showdown.

Karoly Odor: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Rustam Hajiyev: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Odor flopped an ace on {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} to send Hajiyev into a world of pain, but that dramatically changed with the {k-Clubs} as Hajiyev fist-pumped. Odor was drawing dead already and hit a meaningless two pair with the {9-Hearts} to bow out in 20th place for €32,150.

"You should have seen your face on the turn," Melika Razavi said with a smile on the face.

Reskallah in Multi-way Pot with Pocket Kings

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Aladin Reskallah woke up with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} under the gun and raised, getting called in the cutoff by Conor Beresford with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}, Luis Medina on the button with {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Wiktor Malinowski made up the difference with {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} in the small blind.

There was no betting on the {6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} board and the dealer placed an {8-Hearts} on the turn. Reskallah made a delayed continuation bet of 80,000 and only Malinowski came along, with second pair queens.

It was a {9-Hearts} on the river and the action went check-check and Reskallah's pocket kings were good for the pot.

Viktor Katzenberger limped the small blind and Jorden Verbraeken moved all in for 745,000, the instant call of Katzenberger followed in a heartbeat.

Jorden Verbraeken: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Viktor Katzenberger: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The board of {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} ensured that the kicker played and Verbraeken was eliminated in 19th place for €32,150.

Greenwood Shoves on Riess

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Sam Greenwood (under the gun) and Ryan Riess (big blind) saw a {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop together. Riess checked, Greenwood bet 60,000, Riess check-raised to 200,000, and Greenwood called. Riess quickly checked the {k-Clubs} turn to Greenwood, who bet 150,000, and Riess came along with a call.

On the {9-Hearts} river, Riess checked, Greenwood shoved for what appeared to be a little under 700,000, and Riess folded within ten seconds.

Christoph Vogelsang Eliminated in 18th Place (€32,150)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Christoph Vogelsang
Christoph Vogelsang

Conor Beresford made it 65,000 from under the gun with {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Christoph Vogelsang held {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} in the cutoff and called. On the {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop, Beresford opted to check and Vogelsang bet 60,000. It was a call from Beresford and the {7-Hearts} landed on the turn. When Beresford checked again, Vogelsang barreled for 175,000 and it was a flat from Beresford.

The river was a {2-Clubs} and with 675,000 in the middle, Vogelsang bets it all bar one chip, 520,000 of his 525,000 stack. Beresford called and Vogelsang was left with a single T-5,000 chip.

He got his last chip in the next hand and an incredible comeback was looking even less likely when he had the worst of it versus Massimo Mosele.

Massimo Mosele: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Christoph Vogelsang: {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}

The {7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} board held for Mosele and Vogelsang headed to the payouts desk.

Mosele Doubles Through Malinowski

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Wiktor Malinowski raised over on the feature table and instantly called the shove of Massimo Mosele in the cutoff for 525,000.

Massimo Mosele: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Wiktor Malinowski: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Mosele took the lead on the {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop to leave Malinowski with one king or running outs for a full house. Nothing changed on the {4-Clubs} turn and the {10-Diamonds} river further improved Mosele to the nut flush to secure his double up.

Melika Razavi Eliminated in 17th Place (€36,620)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Melika Razavi
Melika Razavi

Manig Loeser opened to 60,000 first to act and picked up no fewer than four callers in Melika Razavi, Wei Huang, Viktor Katzenberger, and Aladin Reskallah in the blinds. The flop came {q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and the action checked to Razavi, who bet 225,000. Only Huang on the button called and the {a-Diamonds} fell on the turn.

Razavi now made it 500,000 to go and Huang, who had clashed with Razavi earlier and forced her to fold after using all remaining time banks, moved all in for more than 2.3 million. Razavi had some 1,300,000 behind and made the call after 20 seconds of consideration.

Melika Razavi: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Wei Huang: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Razavi only had two outs remaining for a possible straight flush, and the {j-Clubs} on the river was a blank to secure the monster pot and chip lead for Huang. There are now 16 players remaining, who will redraw to the final two tables shortly.

Volkmann Doubles Before Two-Table Redraw

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

While all eyes were fixed on the gigantic clash at the other table, Bruno Volkmann got his short stack in on the other table against Nicolas Chouity. Volkmann had {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and doubled up through Chouity's {a-}{8-} on {5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.
