Mitsui Finds a Way

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

After a raise from Dennis Schienagel, Yota Mitsui three-bet shoved 243,000 from the small blind. The German big stack called it off after about twenty seconds.

Yota Mitsui: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Dennis Schienagel: {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}

The {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop was dreadful for the Japanese player, who suddenly needed to catch an eight to stay alive. There was a backdoor escape as well and Mitsui ended up taking the alternate route. With the {9-Hearts} turn and {6-Hearts} river, the eights turned into a straight. Mitsui's double was accompanied by many "oooohs" from his table mates.
