Arends Shoves on Baumann

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

There was 15,500 in the middle from preflop action in a heads-up pot between Jans Arends in the hijack and Gaelle Baumann, who was on the button. The board read {3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Arends checked to Baumann. She made a bet of 5,500 and Arends called, bringing the turn {8-Spades}.

Arends checked again and Baumann put out another bet of 12,000. Arends made the call and the river came {9-Clubs}.

"All in," said Arends as he committed the remaining 23,800 in his stack. Baumann took less than 10 seconds to think before sending her cards to the muck.

Bicknell Cracks ElkY's Cowboys

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Bertrand Grospellier
Bertrand Grospellier

There was 18,000 in the middle in a blind-on-blind battle between Bertrand Grospellier and Kristen Bicknell with action on the turn on a board of {6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Grospellier checked the small blind over to Bicknell and she made a bet of 10,000. Grospellier check-raised all in for about three times more and Bicknell quickly dropped in the chips she was holding to make the call.

Bertrand Grospellier: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Kristen Bicknell: {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Grospellier found his kings in need of some assistance when all the chips got in as Bicknell had turned two pair to pull ahead. The river {q-Diamonds} provided no such relief and he wished the table a good game before getting up from his seat.

Ricci Doubles Through Gumz

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Ihar Soika was getting up from the table after his pocket jacks were cracked by {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} on a {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} runout. At the same time, Ben Heath was also eliminated after being moved to a new table.

In the next hand, Fabian Gumz raised to 2,500 on the button and Ettore Ricci re-raised to 6,200 in the small blind. Gumz called and the flop came {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Ricci continued for 3,500 and Gumz called to see the {8-Diamonds} on the turn.

Ricci fired out another 6,500 and Gumz still called. The {j-Clubs} completed the board and Ricci moved all in for 21,200. Gumz twirled his chips in his hand before dropping in a call. Ricci flipped over {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a set of eights while Gumz rivered an inferior two pair with {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

Grospellier Back; Bujtas Getting Short

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Bertrand Grospellier wasted no time using his one allotted reentry upon his recent elimination and was seen getting back in on the action with an open to 2,000 in the cutoff. Laszlo Bujtas defended from the big blind and the two went to a flop of {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

The turn came {q-Spades} and Bujtas bet 2,000, receiving a call from Grospellier a few moments later. Action then went check-check on the river {3-Diamonds} to take the hand to showdown.

Bujtas tabled {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a missed flush draw and Grospellier showed {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} for two pair, queens and sixes to earn him the small pot.

Gurrutxaga's Jacks Win at Showdown

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jon Gurrutxaga opened the action with a raise to 2,200 in the hijack and received a call from Matthias Eibinger, who was on the button. The big blind came along as well to take postflop action three ways.

Action checked through the flop {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the turn came {5-Diamonds}. The big blind put out a bet of 4,300 and both Gurrutxaga and Eibinger found calls to keep action three handed as the river fell {9-Clubs}, where all three players checked to take the hand to showdown.

The big blind showed {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for two pair, queens and fives, but quickly turned his hand back over to muck it as Gurrutxaga tabled {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for a better queens up. Eibinger also mucked and the pot was shipped Gurrutxaga's way.

More Chips for Soyza

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Soyza raised it up from the cutoff and Anatoly Filatov defended from the big blind. The flop came {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Filatov checked to Soyza who bet 2,000. Filatov check-raised to 7,000 and Soyza called.

The turn was the {k-Hearts} and Filatov fired out another bet of 18,000 which Soyza still called. The {2-Diamonds} completed the board and Filatov counted out a bet of 47,000. Soyza quickly called and Filatov rolled over {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for just jack-high. Soyza tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for two pair and raked in another pot.
