Bosch Doubles Through Martini

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

An all in and call were overheard as Oliver Bosch had shoved the last of his chips in from early position and received action from Julien Martini in the small blind.

Oliver Bosch: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Julien Martini: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Bosch needed a safe runout to stay alive and got just that as board came {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} to score him the double at Martini's expense. Martini asked if it was 75,000 after losing the hand and the dealer told him the total was 67,000, which he paid off before getting ready for the next hand to begin.

Fernandes Finds Small Value on River

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Manuel Fernandes opened to 9,000 in the hijack and was called by Jinho Hong, who was in the cutoff. The remaining players in the hand folded and action went heads up to a flop of {8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

The turn came {10-Spades} and Fernandes bet 15,000. Hong thought for about 40 seconds and then called.

The river fell {9-Hearts} and Fernandes fired out another 15,000. Hong went into the tank for around three minutes, at which point Fernandes called for a clock. The floor was there right away and Hong quickly dropped a chip in to call before the floor could even ask the dealer if he had had enough time to act.

Fernandes tabled {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Hong sat there for a moment, tapping the felt twice in a slow and deliberate fashion before sending his cards to the muck. The pot was sent to Fernandes and Hong shook his head a little bit right as Fernandes finished stacking his chips. Fernandes reached over and tapped Hong's arm in a manner that said he sympathized with him, which was warmly received by Hong despite having just the lost pot.

Richez Hits a Half-Million

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Thomas Boivin went all in from early position and was called by Clement Richez who was in the cutoff. The remaining players folded and the dealer announced for both hands to be tabled for the all-in situation's pending runout.

Thomas Boivin: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Clement Richez: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The flop came {8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, giving Boivin a couple of backdoor opportunities. However, the turn {10-Spades} took them all away to leave him with just three outs, none of which would hit as the river {10-Hearts} paired the board and resulted in his elimination from the tournament. Meanwhile, Richez now finds himself with 505,000 and is one of the larger stacks in the room with the tournament clock reading 176 remaining players, just 33 eliminations away from the point that marks the end of the evening and reaching the money.

Chrysochoidis Holds

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Therme showed {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and found no improvement on the community, which brought an ace on the river for good measure.

Kurko Gets a Dub

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Kimmo Kurko was in the small blind and saw action folded to him. He went all in for his last 62,000 and Kayhan Mokri Roshanfekr called from the big blind.

Kimmo Kurko: {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Kayhan Mokri Roshanfekr: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Kurko was behind but had two live cards and hit one of them on the flop {5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}. The turn {q-Clubs} and river {4-Clubs} provided a clean runout and Kurko found new life with under 20 eliminations left to go before the day's end.

Two Eliminations in Two Hands

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #1:

Alisa Sibgatova check-raised all in from the big blind against Markus Durnegger, who was in middle position on a board of {8-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. According to Durnegger after the hand, he opened and Sibgatova called. Sibgatova then check-called a continuation-bet on the flop before check-raising all in on the turn.

Alisa Sibgatova: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Markus Durnegger: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Sibgatova found herself with only one card left in the deck that would keep her alive in the {10-Spades} since the {10-Hearts} would give Durnegger a flush. That card did not come as the river fell {q-Spades} and she was eliminated from the tournament.

Hand #2:

On the following hand, Muhamet Perati saw action folded to him in the small blind and went all in for 111,000. Julijan Rados was waiting in the big blind and quickly announced a call.

Muhamet Perati: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Julijan Rados: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Perati found himself up against a pair and in need of improving to stay alive. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} to give him more outs to both Broadway and the nut flush, but that was as close as he would get as the turn {2-Clubs} and river {6-Hearts} were of no help for him, spelling his elimination just moments after Sibgatova's departure from the tournament.
