Break

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The remaining players were sent on another 15-minute break. They will continue at approximately 10:10 pm local time with blinds at 1,000/2,000 with a big blind ante of 2,000.

There are about 400 players remaining and they're playing down to the final 15% which will be in the money.

Blom Builds Before Break, Busts Gomez Zapatero

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Viktor Blom
Viktor Blom

Viktor Blom was under the gun and raised to 3,200. He saw action fold around to Javier Gomez Zapatero in the small blind, who went all in for around 20 big blinds. Blom looked back at his cards and dropped a stack of chips onto the felt in front of him to call.

Javier Gomez Zapatero: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Viktor Blom: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Blom had Gomez Zapatero drawing dead on the turn as the board came {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}, resulting in Blom adding a chunk to his already-increasing stack before what is likely the penultimate break of the evening.

Buhler Takes From Hynes

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Henri Buhler
Henri Buhler

Henri Buhler played a three-bet pot against Aidan Hynes. Buhler checked on the {k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop from the hijack and cutoff Aidan Hynes bet 7,500. Buhler clicked the call button and they continued to the {a-Diamonds} turn.

Both checked this time to see the {8-Spades} on the river and Buhler bet a small 3,000 this time. He was called and showed {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} and that was enough to win the pot.

Wyrzykiewicz Gets Value From Schoepf

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz
Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz

The {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} board was already on the table and Jason Wheeler checked from early position to Karl Schoepf in the cutoff. He checked as well and Remi Wyrzykiewicz decided to bet 15,000. Wheeler folded and Schoepf very quickly called the bet to see the {10-Spades} complete the board on the river.

Schoepf checked again and Wyrzykiewicz bet 18,500. Schoepf took his time but eventually called it off. Wyrzykiewicz showed {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and that was enough to win the pot.

Tsai Over 200,000 After Scoring Knockout

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Ting-Yi Tsai
Ting-Yi Tsai

Julien Martini opened the action with a raise to 3,600 from early position. Ole Olsen called from middle position and action went around to Georgios Karakousis, who called from the small blind. Ting Yi Tsai then defended his big blind and action went four ways to the flop {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades}.

Karakousis and Tsai checked to Martini, who made a continuation-bet of 6,000. Olsen called to put action onto Karakousis, who check-raised all in. Tsai asked for a count and it was totaled to be 30,100, and he then announced a raise of the minimum on top of Karakousis' all-in check-raise. Martini and Olsen let their hands go.

Georgios Karakousis: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Ting Yi Tsai: {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}

Tsai had top-and-bottom pairs and needed to hold against Karkousis' flush draw in order to win all the chips. The runout did indeed come in his favor, with the turn {4-Spades} and river {9-Diamonds} leaving Karakousis empty on his draw to result in his elimination from the tournament.

Wiecek Stays Alive

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Piotr Wiecek shoved his last 10,000 or so in from the hijack and received action from Roman Skudar, who was in the cutoff.

Piotr Wiecek: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Roman Skudar: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Wiecek was behind before the runout but the tides turned on the flop {8-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{a-Spades}, putting his aces in front of Skudar's jacks. The turn {q-Clubs} and river {5-Spades} kept things that way and Wiecek scored the double to stay alive.

Trajkovski Floats Out Da-Silva

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Chris Da-Silva
Chris Da-Silva

Chris Da-Silva was in the hijack and saw action folded to him. He raised to 2,500 and received calls from Aleksandar Trajkovski in the cutoff and Adrien Delmas in the big blind. The three saw a flop of {6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Delmas checked over to Da-Silva, who made a continuation-bet of 2,100. Trajkovski called and Delmas folded.

The turn was {10-Spades} and Da-Silva checked. Trajkovski took the initiative and put out a bet of 6,500. Da-Silva went into the tank.

After close to a minute, he reached over to his stack of T5,000 chips and counted out 20 of the 23 chips he had of the denomination. He then put the chips back into one stack and thought about his decision a little longer before sliding his cards forward on the felt to muck them. The pot was sent Trajkovski's way.

"Bluff me?" asked Da-Silva to an unengaging Trajkovski as he stacked his newly-won chips. He later offered that he had ace-ten just as the next hand began.

Nauta Swings Down and Back Up

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Ruurd Nauta lost a 115,000 pot when he lost with {k-Spades}{10-Spades} against {a-Spades}{8-Spades} on a board that read {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Nauta was left with just 10,000 but he managed to secure a double up moments later.

Nauta got it in with {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} against {k-Spades}{q-Spades} and the spades didn't hurt him this time after the board ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}.
