Nauta on Fire

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Ruurd Nauta
Ruurd Nauta

Ruurd Nauta has been on fire for the first levels of the day. He has been cruising to a nice stack and eliminated a player in the last hand before the previous break.

Nauta opened from early position to 1,200 and a player from middle position called. The small blind called as well but the big blind decided to three-bet to 6,100 with about 20,000 behind. Nauta went for the four-bet to 13,500 and it folded to the big blind who put it all in. Nauta called and they opened up.

Big blind: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Ruurd Nauta: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the ten on the turn made Nauta the winner of the hand. His stack rose to about 90,000.

Klepczarek Puts Guerrero To the Test

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Luka Drakic opened to 2,300 in the hijack and was called by the cutoff. Michal Klepczarek was next to act on the button and came along as well, as did Jimmy Guerrero in the small blind. The three saw a flop of {6-Spades}{q-Spades}{3-Spades} and action checked to Klepczarek, who bet 3,200. Guerrero check-raised, putting out 6,100, which the dealer corrected to make him put out the minimum amount of 6,400. Action folded back to Klepczarek and he thought for a little before matching the raise.

Action was then heads up to the turn {8-Diamonds} and Guerrero fired out another 7,500. Klepczarek asked to see what he had behind and he moved his arms to display what was around 34,000. Another minute passed by and Klepczarek made the call, bringing the river {8-Clubs} on board.

Guerro bet another 12,500 and after about 40 seconds, Klepczarek announced he was all in. Guerrero went into the tank for nearly two minutes and then sent his cards to the muck.

Colillas Puts Pressure on Lehoussine

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Leo Margets - Ramon Colillas
Leo Margets - Ramon Colillas

The complete {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} board was on the table when Karim Lehoussine checked from the big blind to Ramon Colillas on the button. The Spanish PokerStars Ambassador and winner of the 2018 PSPC put all his chips in front of him and effectively put his opponent all in for 25,200. The pot had about 25,000 in it and there was plenty to play for.

Lehoussine didn't seem to have an easy decision and he tanked for multiple minutes before Leo Margets called the clock on him. A floorman arrived and explained he had thirty seconds to make his decision but Lehoussine ended up folding after a couple of seconds.

Yankov Wins a Coin Flip To Double

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Krasimir Yankov went all in for his last 5,700 from early position and Christian Ostfelt reraised to 11,100, isolating the rest of the players out of the pot to send the two to the races.

Krasimir Yankov: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Christian Ostfelt: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Yankov spiked a king on the flop and it was all he would need as the board ran out {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, fading backdoor diamonds on the river en route to a double.

Cowboys Kind To Pinter

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

A player raised to 1,800 under the gun and was three-bet to 5,100 by Gergo Pinter, who was next to act in early position. Action folded around to the original opener and he four-bet all in. Pinter quickly called.

Gergo Pinter: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Pinter saw a safe runout of {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} hit the felt and locked in a double as a result.

Odeen Doesn't Get There

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Jerry Odeen raised from the cutoff to 1,700 and he was called by big blind Mustafa Biz.

The two saw the {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop being dealt and Biz quickly checked to initial raiser Odeen. Odeen bet 1,400 and he was called by Biz to see the {3-Spades} on the turn.

Biz quickly checked again and Odeen bet 4,000. Biz wanted to see how much he had behind before he raised to 13,000. Odeen thought about it for a minute before he called it off.

The {5-Clubs} on the river completed the board and Biz quickly flicked in 10,000. Odeen had 11,000 behind but he looked at his cards and open-folded {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

Biz was kind enough to show the {q-Clubs} and took down the pot.
