Reichard Empties the Clip

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Josh Reichard saw action folded to him on the button and opened to 2,000. The big blind defended and the two saw a flop of {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. The big blind checked and Reichard made a continuation-bet of 2,000. The big blind called.

The turn was {7-Spades} and the big blind checked again. Reichard continued, betting another 6,500. His opponent went into the tank for over a half-minute and then put out chips to call.

The river fell {2-Spades} and the big blind checked to Reichard once more. Reichard fired his final shell, shoving for the last 16,500 in his stack. His opponent let his hand go without much thought and the pot was shipped Reichard's way.

Chilaud Doubles Through Wetter

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop of {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, Maxime Chilaud was all in for 23,200 and Christoph Wetter looked him up.

Chilaud flipped over the {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Wetter had a flush draw with the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. The {7-Spades} turn and the {4-Diamonds} river kept Chilaud in the lead and he doubled in the seat that formerly belonged to George Chiriac.

Tsanos Finds Lucky Side of the Coin

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

An all in and call were overheard as Vasileios Tsanos and another player had gotten all of their chips into the middle before the flop from the hijack and button, respectively.

Vasileios Tsanos: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The flop came {q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} to give the player on the button top pair, top kicker and put him firmly ahead with two cards to come. Unfortunately for him, the turn {10-Diamonds} spelled disaster, giving Tsanos a set of tens and leaving him with four outs to broadway to stay alive. None of the four would come on the river {7-Spades} and the two roughly counted their stacks before it was determined that Tsanos covered, earning him the knockout in addition to the pot as he now finds himself with just under two starting stacks.

Vo Finds a Double

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The hijack opened to 2,000 and was called by the player on the button to put action onto Viet Vo, who was in the small blind and had put out a three-bet, with two T5,000 chips in front of him. The original opener folded and the player on the button came over the top of Vo, who called for all in for 10,600 total.

Viet Vo: {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The flop came {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts} to give Vo a pair of jacks, which was all he would need as the turn {4-Hearts} and river {7-Clubs} completed the runout to score him a double.

Borde Flops a Wheel To Double

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Anthony Borde three-bet all in preflop from the small blind over an open from the player on the button and quickly received a call, prompting the dealer to request hands to be turned up for the pending runout.

Anthony Borde: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Borde looked to be in grim shape for his tournament life, but his fortunes changed as the flop came {2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}. The turn {7-Hearts} and river {a-Hearts} secured the double for him and his stack was counted to be 16,000 on the dot. His opponent paid him off, asking if Borde didn't believe him Borde stacked his newly-acquired chips.

Wagner Busts Haslauer

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

With 21,500 in the middle and the turn showing {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts}, Tobias Wagner in the big blind bet 20,000 into a pot of 21,500 and Gerald Haslauer called all-in for fewer than that.

Gerald Haslauer: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Tobias Wagner: {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}

The {j-Spades} on the river changed nothing and Haslauer headed to the rail.

Howden Loses Coin Flip To Bust

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Gleb Kovtunov opened to 1,800 from middle position and saw Christopher Howden three-bet all in from the button. Action made its way back to Kovtunov and he asked how much Howden had. Howden immediately responded, telling him the total was 11,100, and Kovtunov just as quickly called to send the two off to the race.s

Christopher Howden: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Gleb Kovtunov: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Howden was unable to hit one of his two overcards as the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, missing his chance at a wheel coming on the river to chop as well to result in his departure from the first flight of the tournament.
