The 2019 €1,100 EPT National Barcelona finalist Jose Quintas opened to 100,000 with 34,000 behind and Catalin Rusu in the big blind verified that it was just a raise and not an all. Rusu then took half a minute of consideration and moved all in, Quintas called after spending an equally long time in the think tank.

Goran Lukac opened to 26,000 from the cutoff with a dead big blind due to the player not having returned from break yet. Martin Staszko three-bet all in for 155,000 out of the small blind and Lukac asked for a count. He received confirmation of the figure and then thought for close to a minute before dropping one more chip on top of his original raise to signify a call.

The two were in a coin flip situation with Staszko needing to hold to stay alive in the tournament, but the flop improved Lukac to a better two pair than that of Staszko's, leaving him with two chances to hit one of the remaining two snowmen in the deck. The turn removed those two outs as Lukac improved to a full house, leaving his only chance at survival being a river ace to chop with a higher full house. Unfortunately for the Czech native and 2011 WSOP Main Event runner up, the river fell and sent him home from the tournament shortly after the first break of the day.

Giulo Mascolo opened to 22,000 in the hijack and action folded around to Yin Liu, who three-bet to 85,000 from the big blind. Mascolo called and the two saw a flop of . Liu made a continuation-bet of 85,000 and Mascolo called.

Action checked through the turn , bringing the river on board. Liu checked once more and Mascolo responded by going all in for around 430,000.

Liu went into the tank for around two minutes as Mascolo sat still, giving off nothing as he awaited action. Eventually, Liu folded and Mascolo raked in the pot that was sent his way, adding several new stacks of T5,000 to his total, surpassing seven figures along the way.
