Boika Doubles on Bubble; Hand-For-Hand Play Begins

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ngoc Minh Hoang was in the small blind and shoved all in upon action folding to him, effectively putting Aliaksei Boika to a decision for the remainder of his chips. Numerous clock calls were overheard from adjacent tables and eventually a player on Boika's table added to the chrous. The floor came over and Boika made the call within his allotted timeframe.

Aliaksei Boika: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Ngoc Minh Hoang: {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}

Boika's jacks were way out in front and he had an easy road to a double as the board came {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

Meanwhile, the floor has just announced that hand-for-hand play will be enacted with 169 players still remaining due to the pace of play slowing down across the 22 tables that are currently in play.

Over on the feature table, Michiel Brosky got his stack in preflop in a raising war with Cristinel Sandu.

Sandu had raised to 7,000 from under the gun and Brosky three-bet to 30,000. Sandu made it 80,000 and called the shove for 142,000 in a heartbeat.

Michiel Brosky: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Cristinel Sandu: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The board came {j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Brosky was eliminated a few spots off the money bubble.

Stoenescu Locks in Double

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A player in early position raised to 6,000 and action folded around to Andrei Stoenescu in the big blind, who three-bet all in. A count was requested and totaled to be 80,500 before a call was made.

Andrei Stoenescu: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Early Position: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Stoenescu was way out in front and poised for a double as long as he could hold on the pending runout. The flop came {j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, which was a safe start, and the turn {q-Clubs} resulted in him hitting the felt for a mini-celebration for having his opponent drawing dead as the river came {5-Clubs} to complete the runout and lock in his double.

The Money Bubble is Near

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Below are the assorted bustouts in the penultimate level, which has reduced the field to fewer than 170 players.

Mulder Gets There on the River

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Teun Mulder sat in the cutoff and he was on the flop playing a hand against Jukka Paloniemi. The flop was {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Paloniemi checked to Mulder who bet 6,000. He was called by Paloniemi and the {q-Spades} came down on the turn.

Paloniemi bet out himself this time when he pushed 6,000 forward but Mulder raised to 18,000. Paloniemi three-bet to 50,000 and Mulder thought for a moment before calling.

The river was the {4-Clubs} and Paloniemi checked to Mulder again. He bet 10,000 and was quickly called but he saw the nasty news when Mulder opened up {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} while Paloniemi had {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

Panka Takes It on the Turn

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Dominik Panka
Dominik Panka

Ranno Sootla saw action folded to him in the cutoff and opened to 6,000. He was three-bet to 20,000 By Wei Tso in the small blind and Dominik Panka cold-called from the big blind. Sootla quickly helicoptered his cards to the center of the table for the dealer to scoop them up before bringing the flop {5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

The turn was {j-Spades} and Tso checked again. Panka sat still for about 20 seconds and then grabbed 30,000 to throw into the middle. Tso went into the tank for over a minute and then sent his cards to the muck, resulting in Panka adding to his stack with the bubble fast-approaching.
