Leonov Finds Lucky Turn To Double

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Renato Hysenbelli was under the gun and opened to 7,000, receiving a call in the hijack before Serhii Leonov three-bet to 55,000 in the big blind. Hysenbelli folded and the hijack reraised all in for the effective 12,000 or so that Leonov had behind after three-betting. Leonov committed those chips and hands were tabled in preparation for the runout.

Serhii Leonov: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Hijack: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Leonov picked up some extra outs on the flop {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs} but was still firmly behind until the turn {a-Diamonds} hit the felt. The river {2-Clubs} fell behind it to finish the runout and Leonov scored the dub.

Armand Eliminated by Paloniemi

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Gregory Armand
Gregory Armand

The all-in triangle was in front of Gregory Armand on the button as he had pushed for 56,000 and he had to get through Jukka Paloniemi in the big blind only. Paloniemi gave him a stare down for some time and eventually splashed in calling chips.

Gregory Armand: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Jukka Paloniemi: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

Once Armand spotted the cards of his opponent, he sighed loudly and saw his hopes of a Main Event cash fade away on the {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades} board. The usually very talkative Armand left the table without saying a single word and departed fewer than 20 spots away from the money bubble.

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ori Caballo had defended his big blind against a raise by Francesco Candelari and check-raised the {q-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop. Eventually, Candelari made the call and the cards were turned over.

Ori Caballo: {6-Spades}{4-Spades}
Francesco Candelari: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

"That's what I thought! No spade please," Candelari exclaimed and vaulted out of his chair. The board completed with the {j-Hearts} turn and {10-Hearts} river to eliminate Caballo. Candelari left his chair for a quick celebration before returning and stacking the chips.
