Multitasking with PokerStars Team Online's Mikhail Shalamov

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante
Mikhail Shalamov
Mikhail Shalamov

Mikhail Shalamov apppeared to be solving a Rubik's cube whereas in reality he was mixing it up having already solved it. Meanwhile cards were being dealt. A couple of folds went by as Shalamov got to work on the first side, the white side.

With action on Shalamov he quickly stopped what he was doing and raised to 800. He resumed shuffling his cube and by the time four calls had been announced and the flop had been dealt, he had one side already complete.

The flop was {q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}. It folded to Shalamov who bet 1,600 in between working on the next few sides. Shalamov got one call from Aleksandr Shavykin.

It was Shavykin who bet 2,000 on the {2-Clubs} turn and Shalamov put down his cube before calling. The river was the {10-Hearts}. Shavykin bet 3,000 and Shalamov snap-called. Shavykin showed {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Shalamov showed {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} to take down the pot.

Not even the most dexterous of poker players could rake in a pot and solve a cube, and this pot moved Shalamov closer to the 50,000 chip mark.

The cards were shuffled and dealt. Shalamov folded and resumed his cube action. A bet from one player. A call form another. Meanwhile Shalamov had finished his cube before the flop was even dealt.
