Arsenii Karmatckii in the Mix

Level 6 : 250/500, 500 ante

EPT Sochi Main Event Champion 2018 Arsenii Karmatckii is sat on a table and he has just been involved in a three-handed pot with Ivan Volodko and Vitaliy Pankov.

Volodko got the betting started with a 1,500 open and Pankov and Karmatckii called on the button and in the big blind respectively.

The dealer laid {7-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} on the flop and Karmatckii and Volodko checked to Pankov, who made it 2,000 to go further. This was enough to get Karmatckii to pass but not Volodko, who made the call.

The river brought the {k-Clubs}, pairing the second card and bringing a second flush draw with it. Volodko changed tack and lead for 5,000 and Pankov smiled as he passed and Volodko scooped the pot.

Kurbanov Hits the River to Bust Lukash

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Action was on the turn with {k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{q-Hearts}{k-Hearts} out and Ruslan Lukash and Timur Kurbanov went all-in, with Lukash the player at risk.

Timur Kurganov: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Ruslan Lukash: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

It was top trips, top kicker for Kurganov but he was behind to Lukash's full house. The river changed all that, when the dealer laid an {a-Diamonds} down, which gave Kurganov the better full house. The unfortunate runout eliminates Lukash, who still has the option of re-entering today or tomorrow in Day 1C.

Denisova Eliminated by Shemchuk

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Anastasiya Denisova
Anastasiya Denisova

There was an open and a three-bet to 2,500 from Igor Shemchuk before Anastasiya Denisova moved all-in over the top for 14,500. Shemchuk thought about it before making the call.

Igor Shemchuk: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Anastasiya Denisova: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{a-Hearts} and an ace on the river made top pair for Shemchuk, sending Denisova to the rail.
