Martyanov Takes the Betting Lead

Level 1 : 100/200, 200 ante

Tomas Fionn Macnamara opened the button to 500 and Anton Yakuba and Andrey Martyanov defended in the small and big blinds respectively.

On the {2-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} flop, Yakuba checked and Martyanov lead for 800. It was a snappy fold for Macnamara, whilst Yakuba came along.

On the {3-Hearts} turn Anton Yakuba check-folded to Martyanov 1,100.

Sochi
Sochi

Last year saw the European Poker Tour come to Russia for the first time. For 2019, a High Roller Event has been added to an already jam-packed festival that is spread over 10 days.

The buy-in for the inaugural 3-day event is ₽371,000 (≈$5,723) and players will start with a 50,000 chip stack. There is a single re-entry available whilst late registration is open, which is until the start of Day 2 at 2 pm tomorrow. The tournament will also feature a shot clock, which will limit players to 30 seconds for each decision.

The tournament will feature 45-minute levels, with ten levels on the schedule for the day. There will be a short break after Levels 3,6 and 8. To read more about the schedule, please click here.

Cards will be in the air at 4 pm local time at the beautiful Casino Sochi. As ever, PokerNews will be in the thick of all the action, bringing you live updates from start to finish. See you back here in about an hour when play gets underway.
