Both Yuriy and Andrey Guliy are familiar faces both here in Sochi and on the wider EPT circuit and they are both in the Day 1b field.
In fact, they are seated in the same position (Seat 1) on neighbouring tables. We will have to see if this proximity serves as motivation in a familial contest over the course of the day.

Day 1b of the 2019 EPT Sochi Main Event has already attracted 208 players, with 207 remaining according to the tournament clock.
Artur Khostiyan is the only elimination of the day so far, and with late registration open until the start of Day 2 the number looks set to grow. With the overall total, including 251 from Day 1a, standing at 459 last year's figure of 861 could be under threat!
Boris Mondrus opened to 400 and got one call before Andrey Kaygorodtcev three-bet to 2,000 from the button.
With the action back on Mondrus he four-bet to 6,900. The second player got out of the way and Kaygorodtcev called.
The flop came . Mondrus continued for 4,500 and Kaygorodtcev quickly moved all in. Mondrus sighed before checking and re-checking his cards. Eventually he folded and Kaygorodtcev, who was already over 40,000 before the start of the hand, chipped up further.
