The first day of EPT Online 17: $2,100 PLO [6-Max] $500,000 Guarantee has now come to an end on the 19th level of play and it is Rob "batoelrob" Hollink who will be leading the final 38 into Day 2.

Hollink started to climb early in the day and never really showed any signs of slowing down as he constantly was on an upward trend until the last hand. He found his make or break hand in a three-way pot that saw his flopped flush up against the set of aces that Jussi "calvin7v" Nevanlinna held. The board ran out clean, catapulting Hollink over 1.7 million which is just shy of where he ended the day, bagging 1,758,500.

Closest behind Hollink on the totem pole is Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas who bagged 1,567,406 by nights ends after a rollercoaster Day 1. The list rounding out the top five inlcudes PokerStars Team Online Pro Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis (1,365,805), "ZhipOHoy" (1,250,000), and Marcin "cladarth" Pszenniak (1,180,161).

The well-known Veldhuis will be entering the final day in third after an eventful day that saw him grinding near the bottom of the pack for the middle stages of the day. Veldhuis caught wind under his sails as the day began to draw near to an end, accumulating an above-average stack that he leveraged around to grow into a top three by the end of day. Look for him to make a deep run and add another feat to his already impressive resume.

When play resumes Monday, November 16 at 17:05 p.m. GMT the tournament will be only three away from the money as 38 will be returning with the top 35 finishers finding at least a min-cash worth $4,796. The eventual winner will be taking home a $109,181 payday for their efforts as well as an EPT Online title for their resume.

Pszenniak Breaks a Million

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

"terror777727" raised to 26,400 from under the gun and called in the cutoff. Christian "Crisper" Pereira called on the button as well and the {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop landed on the board.

Action checked through to the {9-Spades} turn where "terror777727" bet 25,560 and only Pszenniak called. A {k-Diamonds} fell on the river, both players checked and "terror777727" tabled {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} for a set of jacks.

Pszenniak then turned over [qd01d9d8s], giving him a straight and the pot, eclipsing the million mark for the first time today.

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Kalidou "KalidouSow" Sow opened to 35,000 from the cutoff and Jens "Jeans89" Kyllönen made it 110,000 in the big blind, Sow called.

Jens "Jeans89" Kyllönen: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Kalidou "KalidouSow" Sow: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Sow found himself on the cold end of a cooler and needed a lady to take down the pot. A {2-Hearts} turn and {10-Spades} river were of no help, shipping the pot to Kyllönen with his set of aces. Sow busted in the very next hand.

Sow Sends Shakerchi to the Rail

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi limped from under the gun, Kalidou "KalidouSow" Sow raised to 45,000 on the button and Shakerchi called to see the {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop. Shakerci checked to Sow, he bet 105,000 and Shakerchi check-raised all in, totaling 164,984. Sow called.

Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Kalidou "KalidouSow" Sow: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

Sow had a straight and needed to dodge some diamonds to secure the pot. A {3-Clubs} left Shakerchi with one last chance for romance but the {j-Clubs} river was of no help and he was eliminated.

Bujtas Takes Down a Pot as Bubble Approaches

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

"adohole" opened to 28,000 from the hijack and Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas called in the big blind. A {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{6-Spades} flop hit the virtual felt and Bujtas check-called a bet of 40,160 to see the {4-Clubs} turn card.

Bujtas clicked the check button and "adohole" bet 140,320. Bujtas again check-called and the {9-Hearts} landed on the river.

Bujtas potted, putting in 420,960 and "adohole" let their hand go, sending the healthy-sized pot to Bujtas.
