Triple Up for Kim

Level 19 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Gab Yong Kim
Gab Yong Kim

In the first hand back from the break, Alex Kulev used one time bank extension and then moved all-in from under the gun. He earned the blinds and antes as all opponents folded.

The second hand brought the shove of Gab Yong Kim for 55,000. Alexandros Theologis called in the small blind and Kulev asked for his stack size. "I have 20k more than you," Theologis instantly replied. Kulev then jammed and Theologis folded.

Gab Yong Kim: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Alex Kulev: {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}

"What is that? King nine?" Theologis said when he leaped out of his chair on the other side of the dealer.

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Kim more than tripled up.

Kim Leaves Kulev Very Short

Level 19 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Gab Yong Kim shoved 195,000 from middle position. Alex Kulev re-jammed his slightly smaller amount from the button Niklas Astedt considered it for a while but ultimately folded.

Kim had the {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and was at risk vs the {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} of Kulev.

The flop sent Kim into the lead as it came {k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. The turn was the {7-Clubs} and the river came the {5-Diamonds} to improve Kim to two-pair and give him the double.

Kulev Wins With "All the Backdoors"

Level 19 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Alex Kulev was all-in for 30,000 and Niklas Astedt raised to 85,000, which Teun Mulder called. On the {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, Mulder checked and Astedt continued for 75,000. Mulder used one time bank and folded.

"I have all the backdoors," Kulev said as he rolled over the {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. "I have you crushed," Astedt joked in return as he exposed the {k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. The {7-Diamonds} turn gave Kulev a straight draw but he made a pair instead on the {9-Hearts} river.

Kulev's Turn to Spin It Up

Level 19 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Alex Kulev moved all-in for the last 60,000 and Niklas Astedt on the button was very tempted but folded. Zhong Chen then pushed from the small blind to isolate for the bounty and Sam Grafton asked for a count on that. The shove by Chen was for 515,000 and that proved to be too much for Grafton.

Alex Kulev: {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Zhong Chen: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

"Better than last time, I can feel the spade," Kulev grinned. Instead, he nailed the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop to make trips and locked it up on the {2-Hearts} turn to make the {j-Clubs} river a formality.

Alex Kulev jammed from early position, Niklas Astedt called and everyone else folded.

Kulev was at risk yet again with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} vs the {k-Spades}{j-Spades} of Astedt.

The flop came with a jack in the window {3-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} but there was a queen in there to as Kulev retained the lead. The turn was the {7-Hearts} and the river came the {2-Hearts} to give Kulev yet another double.

Astedt Chips Up With Aggression

Level 20 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Niklas Astedt pushed all-in for 580,000 on the button and Sam Grafton asked for a count in the big blind, then folded.

Daewoong Song then raised to 80,000 two hands in a row. He first claimed the blinds and antes, then faced a three-bet to 175,000 by Astedt. Song used one time bank and sent the cards into the muck.

Without picking up any chips as of lately, Teun Mulder has suddenly become the shortest stack.
