Lesniewski Calls Raise

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Marcin Lesniewski was at the river with his opponent as the board read {2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. He bet 10,000 from the small blind and was raised to 23,000 by his opponent in early position.

Lesniewski thought for about 30 seconds before calling.

His opponent did not want to show and Lesniewski tabled the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the correct call and gathered the pot.

Bogdanov Turns the Screws

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Yulian Bogdanov was involved in another huge pot as there was about 70,000 in the middle and the board read {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. From the button Bogdanov moved all in to out his opponent to the ultimate test for his tournament life with about 112,000 behind.

His opponent went deep into the tank and thought for about five minutes before another player called clock. No floor responded and it took three times and an additional two minutes for the floor to come and start the count down.

Eventually, the countdown reached zero and his opponent's hand was declared dead as Bogdanov gathered in another huge pot to continue his late-night surge.

Hero Call Pays Off for Ehsan

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ehsan Amiri opened to 6,000 from the hijack before Gergely Kulcsar made it 16,000 on the button. Amiri called to see the {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop.

Amiri check-called a bet of 6,000 to bring in the {a-Diamonds} turn. He then check-called a bet of 25,000. The {5-Clubs} hit the river and once again Amiri checked. Kulcsar bet 100,000, putting his opponent all-in.

Amiri glared at Kulcsar for a few moment before trumphantly slamming down chips. Kulcsar turned over big slick for ace high, while Amiri tabled his {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} to rake in the pot with just second pair.

Therme Hits 250K

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

With around 60,000 in the pot on a completed board showing the {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, Andras Balogh and Tom Kunze checked from the small blind and early position respectively.

Jonathan Therme counted out 55,000, and put it in the middle of the table. Balogh waited a minute before calling while Kunze got out of the way. Therme instantly flipped over his {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} to scoop the pot with the nut flush.

Bogdanov Makes Huge Call vs Da

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Every other player in the room had gone off to break and there was one hand still being contested. A large pot of at least 175,000 was in the middle with the board reading {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

Peter Da was on the button and jammed all in after he had previously bet the flop and the turn and had been called both times by Yulian Bogdanov in the big blind.

This time Bogdanov had the huge decision for the rest of his stack of about 71,000. The two players sat there as the break continued with Bogdanov thinking it over for a long time. Eventually he called.

Da meekly turned over the {8-Clubs}{7-Spades} as he knew he was beat, but did not expect to see what he was beat by as Bogdanov showed the {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

"What?! How can you call there?" said Da exasperated. He continued to look bewildered as the dealer counted down the stacks to show that Da had a single 500 chip left while Bogdanov now had a large one.
