Benjamin Beekhuis Eliminated in 9th Place (€29,470)

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 250,000 ante
Benjamin Beekhuis
Benjamin Beekhuis

Benjamin Beekhuis ripped all in from the button. Manuel Gonzalez called from the big blind.

Benjamin Beekhuis: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Manuel Gonzalez: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} to dampen Beekhuis's chances more with the hearts of Gonzalez. The turn was the {j-Clubs} to spell the end for Beekhuis as the {4-Spades} came inconsequentially on the river and he was gone as the official final table bubble boy.

"You Bluff Me, Huh?

Level 33 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Manuel Gonzalez
Manuel Gonzalez

Manuel Gonzalez raised under the gun to 500,000 and received a call from Ermanno Di Nicola in the big blind.

The duo saw a flop of {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and both checked.

That wouldn't be the case on the {6-Spades} turn however, as after Di Nicola checked again, and Gonzalez overbet jammed all-in for a little under 4,000,000 effective.

Di Nicola went deep into the tank, at one point suggesting to Gonzalez, "you bluff me, huh?"

Gonzalez remained stoic and finally, after a couple more minutes, Di Nicola folded his cards.

"Semi-bluff" said Gonzalez, as he raked in chips that moved his stack over the 10,000,000 mark.

Gauyacq Doubles Through Vayssieres

Level 33 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Nicolas Vayssieres opened for half of his 5,200,000 stack, essentially committing himself to the pot. Everyone folded to Gilles Gauyacq in the big blind who shrugged and called for less than four big blinds.

Gilles Gauyacq: {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Nicolas Vayssieres: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The {5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop brought a ten for Gauyacq, and the {9-Clubs}{j-Spades} runout couldn't bail out Vayssieres, who sent almost a million chips to Gauyacq.

Marques Puts Lewis on Fumes

Level 34 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Action was folded to Romain Lewis in the small blind and he moved all-in for slightly more than Pedro Marques' big blind. After a bit of thought, Marques made the call.

Pedro Marques: {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Romain Lewis: {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

The board came {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, pairing Marques' eight on the flop, which gave him the double up and left Lewis with less than two big blinds.

Lewis Still Alive

Level 34 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Romain Lewis
Romain Lewis

Romain Lewis is hanging around thanks to some good fortune since he lost his blind versus blind battle with Pedro Marques.

Lewis moved all-in for his last 400,000 in the big blind versus Ermanno Di Nicola and Manuel Gonzalez's blinds with his ace-high actually holding against both his opponents' queen-highs. In the following hand in the big blind, action folded to Gonzalez who gave Lewis a walk.

Lewis is now grinding away with almost six big blinds.

The Romain Lewis Short Stack Show Continues

Level 34 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Action has been limited here in the morning hours, but Romain Lewis has continued to slowly chip away to a healthier stack.

He recently moved all-in under the gun for 2,250,000 and got a round of folds, right through chip leader Manuel Gonzalez's big blind to boost his stack to 3,000,000, a relatively healthy ten big blinds.
