In a battle of the blinds, Jesse Spatuzzi led out for 2,000 from the small on the {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop and was called by Fabrice Bigot.

After both players checked the {8-Clubs} turn, Spatuzzi fired again for 12,500 on the {a-Spades} river. Bigot took some time before making the call, and Spatuzzi revealed {a-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for two pair on the river to take the pot.

Novick Doubles Through O'Driscoll

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Noah Novick was all in from early position, and was at risk after a call from Conor O'Driscoll.

Noah Novick: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Conor O'Driscoll: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Novick trailed O'Driscoll's pocket pair until the {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, connecting for top pair. The {10-Diamonds} turn changed nothing, and Novick improved on the {q-Clubs} river to double his stack.

At a nearby table, Tom Orpaz was eliminated to end his night.

Scheidegger's Straight Eliminates Lijo

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Robin Scheidegger
Robin Scheidegger

Lander Lijo was put to a decision for his tournament life by Robin Scheidegger, who bet enough on the river of the {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{k-Hearts} runout to put Lijo all in.

After considering that decision for a couple of minutes, Bereciartua made the call and saw the bad news. Scheidegger flipped over {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a straight, and Lijo showed a {k-} as he mucked his hand and left the table.
