John Duthie and Dan Samson were heads up to the turn of a runout showing {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{q-Hearts} in a battle of the blinds.

Duthie led out for 7,500, leaving Samson with a difficult decision. "You get away with murder", Samson told Duthie as he slid his cards to the dealer. Duthie smiled and took down the pot.

PokerStars Team Pro Thomas Hayward raised from under the gun and found two callers to see the {q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop. Hayward fired 1,300, with only Edouard Mignot coming along in the big blind.

Hayward bet 3,200 after the {8-Diamonds} turn, which was check-called by Mignot to see the {a-Spades} river. Mignot checked again, and folded to a bet of 6,800. Hayward revealed {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} for a flopped set, and raked in the chips.

Chiang Gets Value with Aces

The action was three-way on a board showing {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, when Lei Wang's bet of 1,500 was check-raised to 3,400 by Jen-yue Chiang in the small blind. John Field got out of the way, while Wang made the call.

Chiang led out on the {k-Spades} river for 3,600 and was called by Wang, who mucked his cards once Chiang flipped over {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} to score a sizeable pot.

Ishak Hits Top Two

Dominic Salvisberg led out from the small blind after the turn of a board showing {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades}, and was raised by John Ishak in the big blind.

Salvisberg called to see the {2-Diamonds} river, before leading out again. Ishak called to showdown, where Salvisberg tabled {8-Spades}{5-Clubs} for two pair. Ishak turned over {q-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a bigger two pair, scooping an early pot.

Orpaz Scores First Knockout of the Day

Tom Orpaz recounted the action after scoring the first knockout of Level 1.

After seeing a raise and two calls in front of him, Orpaz three-bet to 2,100 from the small blind. The first two opponents folded before Kamal Kasim made the call.

Orpaz led out for 1,500 on the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop, only to see Kasim raise to 5,000. Orpaz then moved all in, followed by a quick call from Kasim.

Orpaz was trailing after Kasim flopped a flush, and stayed behind after the {9-Clubs} turn. The river {7-Diamonds} rescued Orpaz, making a king-high flush to score the early double up.

Johannes Dragoy and Mathieu Pontin were heads up on a {6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, with Pontin checking from the big blind. Dragoy bet 1,000 and was quickly called to see the {5-Spades} turn. Dragoy bet 3,300 chips, which was again check-called by Pontin.

The river {3-Hearts} saw both players check to showdown, where Pontin revealed {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Dragoy turned over {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}, awarding the pot to Pontin.
