Jacobson Accidentally Reveals Pocket Aces and Doubles Up

Level 30 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

Guy Leathley raised to 240,000 from the button and Igor D'Ursel took some time before opting to three-bet to just over 2,000,000 from the small blind. Martin Jacobson was sitting in the big blind and glanced at his cards. After a few seconds, he opted to shove for what he thought was around 2,300,000.

Leathley folded quite quickly but D'Ursel looked over to the other table. Jacobson thought it was a call and flipped over his cards but then realized that D'Ursel hadn't called yet. He quickly grabbed them back and flipped them back over before covering them with his hand. D'Ursel then looked back at the table while the rest looked on with amazement on their faces as they had seen what Jacobson held.

The hand was still live and D'Ursel then figured out that Jacobson had fewer chips. He looked over to the other table again before he decided to make the call with the slightly bigger stack.

Martin Jacobson: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Igor D'Ursel: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for Jacobson to stay ahead and double up for the 2,440,000 he actually had behind with the black pocket rockets and leave D'Ursel short.
