Adams Shuts It Down on the River

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The action folded to Timothy Adams on the button who made it 8,000 to go. Daniel Dvoress and Paul Newey came along from the blinds to see a flop of {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}.

The blinds checked to Adams who continued with a bet of 8,000. Dvoress called and Newey got out of the way.

The {k-Hearts} landed on the turn and Dvoress check-called another bet of 31,000 from Adams. The {k-Diamonds} paired the board and both players knuckled the table. Dvoress showed {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for a counterfeit two pair but it was good enough to claim the pot as Adams sent his cards to the muck.
