Hamilton Doubles Through Sinclair

Level 30 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Ian Hamilton
Ian Hamilton

Jack Sinclair opened to 250,000 on the button and three-bet jammed a stack of 2,065,000 from the big blind.

Ian Hamilton: {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Jack Sinclair: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Hamilton took a big lead as the flop landed {4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} with a pair of eights and the {5-Spades} on the turn didn't change things. Hamilton's rail was calling for a deuce to brick both players and the dealer then put out the {2-Hearts} river card to secure Hamilton the double.

Vuilleumier Takes From Sinclair

Level 30 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Alexandre Vuilleumier
Alexandre Vuilleumier

Alexandre Vuilleumier opened to 240,000 in the cutoff with {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and Jack Sinclair three-bet to 800,000 in the big blind with {k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Vuilleumier called.

The flop landed {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Sinclair continued for 250,000. Vuilleumier called.

The {10-Clubs} fell on the turn and Sinclair checked. Vuilleumier used a time bank before deciding to check back, and the {2-Clubs} completed the board. Sinclair checked and then folded when faced with Vuilleumier's 1,285,000 river bet.

Vuilleumier Shoves River

Level 30 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Alexandre Vuilleumier opened to 240,000 from the button holding {k-Spades}{5-Spades} and Roman Hrabec called in the big blind with {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Hrabec led out for 225,000 on the flop of {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Vuilleumier called. The turn brought the {2-Clubs} to give Vuilleumier a straight and Hrabec continued for 325,000 with his two pair. Vuilleumier again called.

The {9-Clubs} on the river completed the board and Hrabec bet 400,000. Vuilleumier raised all in for 1,675,000 and Hrabec laid it down.

Sinclair Calls Hrabec's Check-Raise Bluff

Level 30 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Jack Sinclair
Jack Sinclair

Jack Sinclair opened to 275,000 in the cutoff with {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and Roman Hrabec defended the big blind with {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

The dealer spread the {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop and Hrabec check-called for 350,000.

The {q-Clubs} turn was checked to the {6-Spades} river and Hrabec checked again. Sinclair used a time bank and moved out a bet of 850,000. Hrabec responded by moving forward a stack of chips for a check-raise to 2,150,000.

"I should've checked," Sinclair mused as he shuffled chips and deliberated.

Sinclair used a time bank and ultimately tossed out a single chip for the call. Hrabec's hand was no good and Sinclair tabled his pocket kings to claim the pot and hold the majority of chips in play.

Hrabec Flops a Set

Roman Hrabec raised to 400,000 in the small blind holding {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Jack Sinclair defended in the big blind with {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

Hrabec continued for 350,000 on the flop of {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and Sinclair opted to float. The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and Hrabec sized up to 1,200,000, which got a quick fold from Sinclair.

Jack Sinclair opened to 250,000 in the cutoff with {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Roman Hrabec defended the big blind with {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

The duo checked to the river on the {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades} board and Hrabec led for 200,000. Sinclair raised to 1,000,000 and Hrabec flicked his cards into the muck after a brief deliberation.

Hamilton Spikes Three-Outer to Stay Alive

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Ian Hamilton
Ian Hamilton

Alexandre Vuilleumier open-jammed from the small blind and Ian Hamilton called off in the big blind with the effective stack of 1,160,000.

Ian Hamilton: {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Alexandre Vuilleumier: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Hamilton was dominated and it looked like he'd be going home as the flop came {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Hamilton calmly took a sip of orange juice and then put on his vest as the {8-Hearts} bricked off on the turn and his rail screamed for a five.

"Plenty of fives left!" someone yelled.

Incredibly, the {5-Clubs} then peeled off on the river and the Brit let out a sigh of relief as he took off his vest and returned to his seat after securing the unlikely double.

Danut Chisu Eliminated in 5th Place (£175,250)

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Danut Chisu
Danut Chisu

Danut Chisu open-shoved for 1,600,000 under the gun and Alexandre Vuilleumier rejammed for 1,655,000 in the small blind.

Danut Chisu: {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Alexandre Vuilleumier: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The {10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop changed absolutely nothing, and the {6-Spades} turn left Chisu needing a three-outer king to stay alive. The {9-Diamonds} completed the board, however, and the Romanian filmmaker made his exit in fifth place for £175,250.
