Tato Eliminated from Main Event

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Bartolomeo Tato's shove had been snap-called by Jamil Wakil, with Tato letting out a disappointed sigh as he turned over {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Wakil showed {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} and held despite Tato flopping a pair on {k-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}. The turn {a-Diamonds} left him drawing dead and he was already getting to his feet by the time the {3-Diamonds} came on the river.

Other early eliminations include Chris Moorman and Bruno Lopes.

Plesuv Doubles Through Kyte

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Jon Kyte opened to 3,500 and got one caller before Pavel Plesuv three-bet all in for 23,500 from the cutoff.

The blinds folded and Kyte then four-bet all in for 119,000. The third player in the hand folded.

Pavel Plesuv: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Jon Kyte: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

The flop {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} gave Plesuv a flush draw.

"Always a sweat," said Kyte before the turn {j-Hearts} completed the flush for his opponent. The river was the {2-Clubs} and Plesuv doubled up.

Seidel Scores Early Knockout

Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

Charlie Hawes opened to 3,000 in the cutoff and Erik Seidel three-bet to 8,000 on the button. The blinds folded to Hawes who moved all in for approximately 26,000, and Seidel called.

Charlie Hawes: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Erik Seidel: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

The {5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop brought chop outs to the {3-Diamonds} turn, but instead, the {6-Diamonds} spiked the river to improve the Poker Hall of Famer to a straight, eliminating Hawes early on Day 2.

Abdelhadi Applies Early Pressure

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Ahmad Abdelhadi raised to 3,000 from early position and was called by Jason McConnon on the button and Evan Zitomer in the big blind.

Zitomer and McConnon checked the {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop, and both players called when Abdelhadi continued for 4,500. Zitomer and McConnon checked again on the {k-Clubs} turn, but this time Abdelhadi's bet of 12,000 was enough to take down an early pot.
