Barusta Finds Four Kings

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Ian Hamilton had raised to 20,000 on the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop, when Jonathan Barusta moved all in for about 42,000 more.

Hamilton took some time before tossing in the call, and both hands were turned up with Barusta at risk.

Jonathan Barusta: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Ian Hamilton: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Barusta trailed Hamilton's top pair, but quickly spiked the {k-Diamonds} to pull ahead. The river {k-Spades} gave Barusta quads, and he patted the table before collecting the pot.

Tang Takes Out Crisostoma

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Danny Tang
Danny Tang

Danny Tang continued for 7,500 from middle position after the {10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, and Giorgio Crisostoma check-raised all in from the big blind. "What have I got myself into?" Tang asked as he slid in the call.

Giorgio Crisostoma: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Danny Tang: {10-Spades}{4-Spades}

Crisostoma's pocket pair was behind Tang's tens, and the {j-Hearts} turn and {5-Spades} river changed nothing. Tang added to his stack while eliminating Crisostoma.

Ace-High Good Sees Faria First Over 400,000 Chips

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Luis Faria
Luis Faria

Catching up with the action on a {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} river one could be forgiven if they expected action between Danny Pyke and Luis Faria, considering the 100,000 chips that were already in the middle between the pair.

However, there were no such fireworks as both players checked. Pyke showed {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for a missed straight draw, and shook his head glumly as Faria shows {a-Spades}{5-Spades} and won the pot with ace-high.

River Saves Karam

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Ramzi Karam raised to 5,000 and Simone Demasi called in the blinds. Demasi check-called 4,000 on the {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop and the turn was the {6-Hearts}.

Demasi checked and Karam bet again for 15,000. Demasi check-raised to 31,000 and then called the shove from Karam for 66,000.

Ramzi Karam: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Simone Demasi: {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Demasi had outflopped his opponent and was looking good to send his opponent to the rail, but Karam spiked an {a-} on the river to stay alive.

Mateos and Moss Chop Big Pot

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Alistair Moss opened to 4,500 in middle position and Adrian Mateos three-bet to 14,000 in the cutoff. Action folded back to Moss who called.

The dealer fanned out the {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop and Moss check-called for 8,000.

The {3-Diamonds} landed on the turn and Moss check-called for 31,000.

The {9-Diamonds} completed the board and Moss checked once more. Mateos moved in a stack of blue T-5,000 chips to put Moss to the test for his remaining stack of roughly 70,000. Moss tanked for over a minute but ultimately called.

Mateos showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} while Moss showed {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, and the sizable pot was chopped up.

Spragg Eliminated by Barusta

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Benjamin Spragg
Benjamin Spragg

The seat formerly occupied by PokerStars Ambassador Benjamin Spragg was noticeably empty, and former tablemate Guy Taylor filled us in on the action.

On a {a-}{k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} board, Spragg had check-raised all in against Jonathan Barusta. Spragg held {a-}{10-} for top pair and was up against the {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} pair and flush draw of his opponent.

The turn {7-} improved Barusta to two pair while the river {7-} improved him to a full house and sent Spragg to the rail.

Beresford Chipping Up

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Conor Beresford
Conor Beresford

Conor Beresford had 12,000 over the betting line in the hijack and was facing a raise to 35,000 by Fabian Bernhauser in middle position. Beresford called.

The dealer fanned the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop and Bernhauser bet 19,000. Beresford called.

The two tapped the felt on the {a-Clubs} turn to see the {j-Hearts} river. Bernhauser checked and Beresford moved out a bet of 52,500, prompting Bernhauser to muck, and the UKIPT Main Event runner-up added to his growing stack.
