Lococo Eliminated by Roboh

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Alejandro Lococo
Alejandro Lococo

Alejandro Lococo was spotted all-in with a short stack soon after returning from the dinner break. He was looked up by Simon Roboh and the cards were flipped over.

Alejandro Lococo: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}
Simon Roboh: {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and that spelled the end for Lococo, who may still re-enter on Day 1a or take another shot on Day 1b.

Far biggest stack on the table is Peter Kvisthammar, who already has more than five times the starting stack at his disposal.

Abussamra Traps the Flop

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Elias Abussamra opened to 2,000 in the cutoff and picked up two callers, Marius Kudzmanas on the button and Artur Halstan in the big blind.

The flop showed up {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}. All three players checked, Abussamra not deciding to fire a continuation bet.

The turn brought the {2-Spades}. Action again checked to Abussamra, and he decided to bet 3,500. Kudzmanas folded the button, but Halstan called in the big.

The river came the {q-Hearts}. Halstan checked, and Abussamra fired big, 12,000 on the final street. Halstan was a non-believer, he put in the call after about 30 seconds of thought.

Abussamra showed {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for the flopped set and the winner.

Smolka Leads the Way; Staahle No More

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Kent Staahle had been the chip leader not long ago but his entire stack vanished and he was among the latest casualties. A quick look at his former table revealed a new far biggest stack as Dawid Smolka was sitting behind a large tower of chips. He covers the second biggest stack at the table, Athanasios Kidas, with three times as many chips.

Naves Doubles Through Kim

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

In a post flop all-in contest, Tauan Naves spiked a double through Jaeseong Kim when he had the best of it all the way. Both had a piece on the {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop and {4-Clubs} turn when the chips went in as Naves was at risk holding the {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.

Kim was behind with the {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and the {3-Spades} river brought no upset.

Thanarattrakul Jams Into Mokri

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Kannapong Thanarattrakul
Kannapong Thanarattrakul

Kannapong Thanarattrakul raised it up to 1,600 and Kayhan Mokri three-bet to 4,600. The initial raiser asked to see the stack size of Mokri and then came along. On the {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop, Thanarattrakul check-called a bet worth 2,000 to then check again the {9-Hearts} on the turn.

Mokri bet 3,100 and then instantly folded when facing the check-shove by Thanarattrakul. The Norwegian had some 10,000 left after the hand and bowed out soon after.
