Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante
John Mooney
John Mooney

John Mooney is off to a very good start as he already increased the stack by 50%. It appears that he took plenty of chips from Youssafi Khalil and Adam Refoufi with the latter just giving up another pot to Mooney as well.

On a heads-up turn of {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, Mooney in the small blind checked. Refoufi bet 500 on the button and folded to a check-raise.

Lee and Scheidegger Fight Preflop Raising War

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Playing three-handed, Jaesung Lee and Robin Scheidegger get involved in a preflop raising war early in level one.

Scheidegger raised to 400 from the small blind. In the big blind, Lee three-bet to 1,100. Looking to play for more, Scheidegger four-bet to 3,100. Lee wasn't done, though, as he five-bet to 10,000, a third of his stack.

Scheidegger looked pained. Lee glanced back at his hand during the tank. Scheidegger thought for a while before releasing his cards.

Lee was kind enough to show the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} to ease the mind of his opponent.

"Ace-queen," said Scheidegger, a big hand three-handed, but not enough to play back against the five-bet.

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

Jerome Finck raised to 300 and was called by Nick Fu from one seat over. The {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop was checked by both before they invested 400 on the {6-Hearts} turn. Finck bet the {2-Spades} river for 2,500 and Fu folded.

After the hand, Saar Wilf complained that he has only seen cards below a ten so far to which Finck replied "the last cards were pretty good, no?"
