Baumann Chips Up in Showdown

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Gaelle Baumann bet a heads-up flop of {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop to get called by Alfonso Simone and they then checked the {k-Clubs} on the turn. Baumann bet again the {6-Diamonds} river for 4,000 and Simone called after a few seconds of consideration.

The {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for top pair by Baumann were good enough to win the pot as Simone sent the cards into the muck.

No Bounty for Parafita Riviera; No Chips for Robovic

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

On a heads-up flop of {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts}, the chips went into the middle between Fabian Bernhauser and Andrija Robovic with the former at risk of elimination for 11,400.

Fabian Bernhauser: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Andrija Robovic: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The {6-Diamonds} turn and {2-Hearts} river provided no help and Robovic snapped a picture of the outcome.

Down to the last 1,600, he moved all-in the next hand and was called three ways by Luca Parafita Riviera, Robin Ylitalo, and David Dahan. All three active players checked to the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs} river on which Parafita Riviera bet 3,500 to isolate successfully.

"Lucky deuces one time," Robovic joked and showed the {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Parafita Riviera tabled the {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} to win the pot and then joked "no bounty?"

Ylitalo swiftly responded "no, you have to lose all the chips and try tomorrow in the other tournament".

Majid Ejlal Noubarian
Majid Ejlal Noubarian

On a board reading {9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs} Majid Ejlal Noubarian shoved his remaining 6,800 into the middle and action was on Benjamin Labor. With 18,800 in the pot, Lebor pondered what to do before tossing a single chip to declare a call.

Ejlal Noubarian showed {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and Lebor reluctantly flashed his {q-Spades}{10-Hearts} before tossing his hand into the muck.

Pudel is the Wizard of Oz

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Nils Pudel

Ezra Zitun Oz gasped an "wow, wow, wow" when he was sent to the rail by Nils Pudel. His pocket deuces for a turned set were already mucked as a very relieved Pudel raked in the pot. On a board of {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, Pudel's {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} were good enough for the second nuts and he jumped to nearly two times the starting stack, railed by PokerStars Team Online's Felix Schneiders.

Sharp Dressed Staniszewski Scoops

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Jakub Staniszewski
Jakub Staniszewski

On a board reading {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} Jakub Staniszewski check-called a bet of 800 from Andrea Ricci and the two players went to the river.

The dealer fanned the {10-Spades} on the river and Staniszewski checked again. Ricci fired a bet of 2,500 on the river and Staniszewski called quickly.

Ricci announced "Queen high" Staniszewski showed {q-Hearts}{8-Spades} for second pair to take down the pot.

Staniszewski, donning a red suit and yellow floral shirt, may be one of the best-dressed players in the room and his stack is moving in the right direction.

Venneri Chips Up; Ensan and Gilboa Shorter

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Four ways to a {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop for 1,100 each, Michael Allen bet 800 when checked to and forced folds all around.

In the next hand, Allen raised to 700 again and earned four callers including Hossein Ensan and Antonino Venneri. The {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop was checked to Allen and he bet 1,000. Ensan called and Venneri raised to 3,500 in order to force folds all around.

Venneri exposed the {10-Spades} and Ensan nodded. Both Ensan and Uri Gilboa have dropped to fewer than half the starting stack in the first three levels.
