No Repeat Victory for Ensan in Prague

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Hossein Ensan
Hossein Ensan

Hossein Ensan and Robert Heidorn were talking near the entrance of the main tournament room, which was certainly not a good sign for either of them. In the case of Ensan, his second entry in the €5,300 Main Event had come to an end. He provided the details for a rather bad day at the poker tables where he never got much running.

"They always had the better hand and then I lost a lot of my chips with kings versus jack. In the last hand, there was a raise and a three-bet. I was short-stacked and jammed king-queen, the initial raiser called with ace-queen."

The winner of the hand happened to be Lukas Dimsa, who has an above-average stack at his disposal. Chip leader at the table is Antoine Vranken with nearly four times the starting stack.

Jennifer Shahade
Jennifer Shahade

On a board of {8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts}, Jen Shahade and Ioannis Kapnopoulos were contesting a pot of around 3,000. Shahade checked the turn to Kapnopoulos who checked behind.

The river came {10-Clubs}, pairing the board, and this time Shahade opted to bet into Ioannis for a total of 1,200. Kapnopoulos called and waited for Shahade to table her hand. Shahade showed {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Kapnopoulos flipped his {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, showing trip tens, and took down the pot.

On a board of {6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} and with 7,200 in the middle, Tibor Szenasi checked the river and Johannes Van Bemmel bet out for 4,400. Szenasi flicked in the call.

Van Bemmel tabled {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for ace-high and Szenasi showed {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for bottom pair but it was good enough to take down the pot and leave Van Bemmel short.

Tsokaridis Wins Four-Bet Pot

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

A preflop four-bet pot created a pot of 25,000 and the action was then suddenly checked down on the {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop. Paraskevas Tsokaridis bet the {10-Diamonds} turn for 9,500 in the big blind and Andy Schlegel sigh-folded.

Tudor Purice joked that the table had a lot of entertainment value and they should become a band, which brought several smiles all around. Roles were not suggested yet but Purice might be a drummer as he needs to pounce with his short stack.

Cardot Loses a Pot; Gets Far More Back in Return

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Yannick Cardot
Yannick Cardot

In four-way action with 1,100 invested to the {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop, Csaba Miklos bet 2,500 in the small blind and Yannick Cardot called in the under-the-gun position. The {6-Clubs} brought a bet of 4,000 and a call as they headed to the {3-Diamonds} river. Miklos bet 6,000 and Cardot folded.

One hand later, Miklos raised the button after the blinds had gone up and he was called by Cardot in the big blind. Cardot check-called bets on the {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop and {q-Clubs} turn, the latter of which was for 5,200. Cardot led the {9-Hearts} river for 8,000 and Miklos tossed in a bet of 12,000.

It was ruled as a forced min-raise to 16,000 and Cardot called. Miklos tabled the {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for two pair and shook his head after Cardot won the pot with {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.
