Thing Long, Think Wrong

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

A completed board of {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} was spread across the felt with around 75,000 in the middle. Benjamin Winsor pushed out a bet of 85,000 from the big blind and Julien Sitbon was in the tank on his left.

"I'm gonna need some time on this one," Sitbon announced. Time had passed and the clock was called which left Sitbon with 30 seconds to act. He eventually called and Winsor tabled {2-Spades}{2-Clubs} for a set of deuces to scoop the pot.

Szymanski Makes a Set, Abussamra Bets

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Action picked up on the turn with about 47,000 in the pot. The board was {5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and two players were heads-up.

From the big blind, Elias Abussamra led for 17,000. In position from early position, Mateusz Szymanski made the call.

The river {7-Hearts} completed flush and straight draws, and Abussamra checked. Szymanski thought for a while before also checking behind.

Abussamra showed {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} for the double-gutter that found river showdown value. It was no good against the {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} of Szymanski, even though there was no river value to be found.

Ionut-Flavius Voinea

Ionut-Flavius Voinea raised to 5,000 from early position and was reraised by Jerwin Pasco on the button. After the blinds had folded, Voinea cut out a chunk of blue chips and four-bet to 35,000 which Pasco called.

Voinea sat motionless for around thirty seconds before carefully picking up an arrangement of chips and firing out a continuation-bet of 17,000 on the flop of {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, to which Pasco folded.

On a flop of {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, Pablo Brito Silva checked to Preben Stokkan who bet out 4,500. Brito Silva thought for a moment before check-raising to 14,000 and Stokkan called.

Stokkan flipped {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a rivered full house and Brito Silva tossed his hand into the muck.

Szetei Eliminated by Mertengren

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Pavol Szetei entered the showdown with a respectable hand of {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and had one overcard as well as clubs at his disposal versus Andriy Mertengren. The latter turned over the {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and the {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop left Szetei on the ropes. He was drawing dead on the {9-Clubs} turn to make the {10-Hearts} river a formality.

Karapanau Calls Drawing Dead

Level 13 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Michael Pinto raised to 6,000 in the cutoff and was called by Ryhor Karapanau on the button, Jerry Odeen in the small blind, and the big blind.

The flop fell {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and the blinds checked to Pinto who continued for 12,000. Karapanau called and Odeen check-raised to 42,000. The big blind and Pinto both folded but Karapanau called to see the {a-Spades} on the turn.

Odeen put together a bet of 65,000 on the turn and Karapanau still called. The {7-Spades} paired the board on the river and both players eventually checked. Odeen tabled {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a flush while Karapanau revealed {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a straight.
