Barbero, Brombim Eliminated on Money Bubble

Level 17 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Nacho Barbero
Nacho Barbero

Arthur Conan opened to 175,000 from middle position and Nacho Barbero moved all in from the hijack with 165,000. Dimitar Danchev then re-shoved from the small blind and Conan called off for 225,000 total.

Nacho Barbero: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Arthur Conan: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}
Dimitar Danchev: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Barbero's jacks were still ahead after the {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop and {8-Spades} turn, but the {k-Hearts} on the river gave Conan eights full of kings to win the pot, nearly triple, and eliminate Barbero.

At the other table, Paulo Brombim bowed out at the same time to burst the money bubble.

Jean-Noel Thorel Eliminated in 13th Place (€8,550)

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Jean-Noel Thorel
Jean-Noel Thorel

Joris Ruijs opened to 50,000 from middle position and Jean-Noel Thorel defended the big blind.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Thorel shoved in his remaining stack of approximately 100,000. Ruijs snap-called.

Jean-Noel Thorel: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Joris Ruijs: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}

Thorel had a flush draw against the bottom set, but it was all over as the {q-Diamonds} fell on the turn, and the meaningless {3-Diamonds} completed the board to eliminate the Frenchman in 13th place for €8,550.

Ramiro Petrone Eliminated in 12th Place (€8,550)

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Ramiro Petrone
Ramiro Petrone

Ramiro Petrone was all in and at risk against Joris Ruijs, who had him covered.

Ramiro Petrone: {j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Joris Ruijs: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The action flop of {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades} gave Ruijs a set but gave Petrone hope to stay alive with an open-ended straight draw. But the board then finished out {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} to improve Ruijs to a board and send Petrone out in 12th place.

Daewoong Song
Daewoong Song

Daewoong Song was all in and at risk in a heads-up pot against chip-leader Francisco Benitez.

Daewoong Song: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Francisco Benitez: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Song's sixes were ahead after the flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-}, but the {a-Hearts} on the turn gave Benitez the lead and Song was eliminated in 11th place after the {j-Hearts} river.

Dimitar Danchev Eliminated in 10th Place (€10,590)

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Dimitar Danchev
Dimitar Danchev

Dimitar Danchev had gotten his remaining short stack of approximately 160,000 in and was at risk against Bruno Volkmann.

Dimitar Danchev: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}
Bruno Volkmann: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

The {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} flop improved Volkmann to a set and left Danchev with hope as he had a flush draw, but the {a-Clubs} turn gave Volkmann a boat, and the inconsequential {3-Clubs} river eliminated Danchev in 10th place.

Ruijs Finds €100,000 Bounty

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Joris Ruijs
Joris Ruijs

Just before the nine remaining players went on a short break before the start of the final table, Joris Ruijs redeemed one of his Mystery Bounty Tokens from an earlier elimination and found the top €100,000 bounty. He celebrated with his rail as the bounty already earned him more than the second-place prize.

He will enter the final table third in chips and will soon be looking to add even more to his total earnings for the day.

Gabriel Moura Eliminated in 9th Place (€13,250)

Level 19 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Gabriel Moura
Gabriel Moura

Gabriel Moura had lost most of his chips in a previous hand and got the rest of his short stack in the middle to see a flop four ways.

The flop came {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{a-Hearts} and Igor Pihela led out for 150,000 from the big blind. Anton Suarez folded, leading Joris Ruijs to raise to 350,000. Pihela responded with a three-bet jam and Ruijs snapped him off with his stack of 1,100,000.

Gabriel Moura: {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Joris Ruijs: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Igor Pihela: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

Ruijs was ahead with the flopped set but needed to dodge spades as Pihela had a flush draw, while Moura had little hopes of winning the main pot. Neither the turn nor river brought spades and Ruijs scooped the main pot and a huge side pot to take a commanding lead, while Moura was eliminated in ninth place.
