Toan Takes One from Botteon with Flush Draw

Level 15 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

There was already about 18,500 in the middle in a three-bet pot as the flop came {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Brunno Botteon checked from under the gun to Robbie Toan, who continued for 13,000 from early position. Botteon made the fold and Toan flashed the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for the nut flush draw.

The two shared a small laugh after the hand.

Hu Gets There and Eliminates Mejia

Level 15 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Alberto Mejia moved all in preflop and was called by big stack David Hu, putting Mejia at risk.

Alberto Mejia: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
David Hu: {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Although Mejia was a favorite going in, the flop of {2-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Clubs} was a punch in the gut as Hu hit his king.

"Ten for a sweat!" Someone at the table yelled, and sure enough, the {10-Spades} came on the turn to give Mejia some hope with an open-ended straight draw.

Unfortunately, the {k-Hearts} came on the river to give Hu trip kings and Mejia was eliminated as Hu was awarded the pot along with a bounty slip.

Zeitoun Four-Bets to Chip Up

Level 15 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Before the flop, Luiz Filho opened to 4,000 in late position and was called by Anas Belatik in the highjack, but was then three-bet to 15,500 by Hayato Kitajima in the cutoff.

The action was then on Johann Zeitoun on the button, who paused for a second before putting in a cold four-bet to 40,000. The action folded back around to Filho, who tanked for a full minute before finally laying his cards down.

Belatik and Kitajima quickly folded as well and the pot was pushed to Zeitoun for a nice pickup.

Tedeschi Hits Trips on Orpaz

Level 14 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Paul Tedeschi opened from early position for 4,000 and Tom Orpaz called from middle position. Uri Reichenstein defended his big blind and they went three ways to the flop.

The flop came {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and action checked over to Orpaz, who bet 5,000. While Reichenstein tossed his cards away, Tedeschi continued on.

The {8-Hearts} arrived on the turn and Orpaz fired a second barrel for 15,000. Tedeschi would slowly analyze before making the call about 30 seconds later.

The {a-Spades} came on the river and both players would need about 20 or 30 seconds before tapping the table.

Tedeschi flipped over {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} which was enough to see Orpaz raise his eyebrows in surprise before tossing his cards into the muck.

Despite losing the hand, Orpaz is enjoying a successful day thus far, having already doubled his starting stack and earning a bounty in the process.

Bjorn Kozenkai opened from middle position to 4,000 and Dario Sammartino called from the big blind.

The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} and Kozenkai could barely put his bet in before Sammartino threw his cards away.

The Hungarian started the day with just 52,500 and in the last few minutes has seen his stack explode all the way up to 278,000 while collecting a pair of bounties in the process.

Morand Dons Hero Cape

Level 14 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The flop was {j-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and two players were heads up battling for the 13,000 pot. Loic Morand was under-the-gun and led out for 4,000, which Ignas Jasinevicius in the hijack called.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and both players checked and went straight to the river {5-Spades}.

Morand checked to Jasinevicius who then bet 17,500. Morand then took his time with his decision, mulling it over.

After looking at his cards one last time, he looked as if he was about to fold but then quickly announced "call". Jasinevicius then tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for just ace-high and Morand flipped over {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a pair of nines to win the pot.
