Schwaederle Bests Germaine on Star-Studded Table 9

Level 22 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Cedric Schwaederle opened from early position to 25,000 and Jack Germaine three-bet to 55,000 from the seat directly to his left. Action folded around back to Schwaederle, who made the call.

The lop came {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Schwaederle was happy to check over to Germaine, who put out a bet of 55,000. After some deliberation, Schwaederle raised a giant stack of blue chips, worth around 150,000. Germaine would quickly make the fold.

Elsewhere on Table 9, Martin Jacobson is having a fantastic day with a hair under 800,000 while chip leader Manuel Fischer is still cruising along with 2,300,000. The table has recently broken and the players will now have to adjust to their new opponents.

Mercini Wins with Ace High, PokerStars Ambassadors Soaring

Level 22 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Patricio Mercini opened to 25,000 from early position and was called by PokerStars Ambassador Parker Talbot in the small blind as well as Saar Wilf in the big blind.

On the {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop, Wilf lead out for 40,000 and Mercini quickly called while Talbot got out of the way.

The {7-Spades} turn slowed both players down, with each player checking the four-card straight.

The duo would do the same on the {2-Clubs} river and Wilf tabled {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}. However, he had kicker problems and Mercini showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for the better ace high and the win.

On the table next door, PokerStars Ambassador Jen Shahade is cruising along and is up to 1,250,000.

May the Fours Be With You

Level 22 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Fabio Fonseca and Tom Orpaz got all of their chips int the middle before the flop, with Fonseca at risk of elimination.

Tom Orpaz: {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}
Luis Freitas: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

"Hold fours hold!" Orpaz shouted as he tapped them as if to give them magical protection.

The flop was {3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Orpaz was still in the lead.

"May the fours be with you!" He continued, and the {10-Diamonds} turn was still safe for him.

"May the fours be with you!" He chanted, working himself into a frenzy, and when the {6-Diamonds} hot the river he slapped the table and yelled it once more, "MAY THE FOURS BE WITH YOU!"

"I'm sorry guys, I've just been wanting to say that all day," Orpaz apologized as he was shipped the pot along with the coveted bounty slip and Freitas was eliminated.

Talbot Smashes Pepping's Queens

Level 22 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Parker Talbot
Parker Talbot

Parker "Tonkaaaa" Talbot got it all in for 171,000 and was called by Roelof Pepping, with Talbot at risk of elimination.

Parker Talbot: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Roelof Pepping: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Although he was in rough shape, the {2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} board on the turn gave Pepping some hope with a flush draw, but the {j-Spades} river did not do it and Talbot secured the double up.

Pepping was left with only 38,000 and busted a few hands later.

Kolev Scores Another Bounty

Level 22 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Yuliyan Kolev
Yuliyan Kolev

After Yuliyan Kolev opened from under the gun, Gerardo Rodriguez Ulloa put in 85,000 of his 90,000 chips from the big blind as a pay jump was just one place away. Kolev went all in and upon confirmation that he was guaranteed a ladder worth €680, Ulloa made the call.

Gerardo Rodriguez Ulloa: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Yuliyan Kolev: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades} was kind to Ulloa as his nines were still best and Kolev was left without straight or flush possibilities.

The turn, however, was the {k-Spades} putting Kolev way out in front with Ulloa drawing to just two outs.

The river was the {5-Clubs} and Kolev collected another bounty.

Fischer Up to 2.3 Million, Collects Ninth Bounty

Level 21 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Manuel Fischer
Manuel Fischer

Julio Ribeiro opened to 20,000 from the cutoff and Manuel Fischer called from the big blind.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Ribeiro put out a continuation bet of 50,000, leaving 121,000 behind. After about 45 seconds, Fischer went over the top and Ribeiro snapped him off.

Julio Ribeiro: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Manuel Fischer: {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Ribeiro had the best of it with his overpair against Fischer's top pair.

However, the {q-Clubs} arrived on the turn and a shocked Ribeiro would need to hit a jack to continue his tournament run.

The {3-Hearts} completed the board, eliminating Ribeiro, sending Fischer to around 2,300,000, and giving Fischer his ninth bounty of the day.

Tekle Gets Paid After Getting Raised Into with Full House

Level 21 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Bartu Ugurtas opened to 20,000 from the button and Henok Tekle defended his big blind.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs} and both players tapped the table.

On the {6-Spades} turn, Tekle put out a bet of 20,000 and Ugurtas raised to 75,000. Tekle sat there for about a minute before making the call.

The river brought the {5-Diamonds} and Tekle checked to Ugurtas who made the check, much to Tekle's dismay.

Tekle tabled {j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for a full house and added to his stack, which is beginning to hover around a million.
