Rabl Heroes to Crush Astedt

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Niklas Astedt
Niklas Astedt

Eric Rabl made a massive hero call in a hand that began with him opening and getting called by Niklas Astedt.

Rabl continued with a bet on the flop of {4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Spades} and Astedt called. Rabl bet again on the {k-Hearts} turn and Astedt raised Rabl called.

Rabl checked on the {9-Clubs} and Astedt bet to put him all in. Rabl made the call. PokerNews arrived at the table as Astedt could only show {q-}{j-} for queen-high and Rabl showed {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for just a pair of fives.

The big call pushed Rabl over the million mark and left Astedt with less than three big blinds. The Swedish online grinder made a disappointed frown and gave Rabl a stare that lasted several seconds.

Two hands later, Astedt open-jammed his stack of 37,000 and was called by Jacob Amsellem in the big blind.

Niklas Astedt: {k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Jacob Amsellem: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Things just weren't going Astedt's way as he ran into a hand that had him dominated. The board ran out {2-Hearts}{k-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Amsellem's made two pair for Astedt to be eliminated.
