The field quickly thinned at the start of the day, where 96 remained from the record breaking field of 6,313, as big names like PokerStars Ambassadors Rafael Moraes (82nd- €9,110) and Ramon Colillas (73rd - €9,110) as well as four-time WSOP bracelet winner Robert Mizrachi (37th €13,850) were eliminated.

British poker player Ivan Stokes (36th - €13,850) was also eliminated later in the day in a brutal bad beat at the hands of Mathias Siljander as the Finn rivered a full house with queens full of nines against Stokes’s three-of-a-kind. One-time WSOP bracelet winner Nikita Luther (€27,930) was the last woman standing and eliminated late in the day after a rollercoaster of a day where she was victim to Renat Bohdanov’s pocket kings.

Andrew Wilson ran cold to be eliminated at the end of the day (11th- €46,280) as he was chip leading at the final two table redraw. He lost a flip, then his ace-king lost to Ahmad Rehaime’s ace-five before ultimately losing another flip to Sinclair to be eliminated. Rehaime’s luck continued as he doubled through Sinclair as his ace-king hit runner-runner to survive against Sinclair’s aces.

Siljander was the final table bubble boy as his pocket jacks lost a flip to Rick van Bruggen’s ace-king which ended the day as the remaining players locked up at least €55,500 heading into Day 4.

Day 4 will commence on Sunday, August. 13 at noon local time on Level 37 with 56 minutes remaining at blinds of 300,000/600,000/600,000. The top prize of €600,000 and the trophy still await the eventual champion.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be back on-site tomorrow at Casino Barcelona to bring readers coverage of the final table for Day 4 of the ESPT Main Event. PokerStars will also stream live on Twitch and Youtube from 1:00 p.m. local time. PokerNews will be reporting on a 30-minute delay.
