Scafini Calls Amsellem's Bluff

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Jacob Amsellem raised to 250,000 from middle position and Lucas Scafini called from the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and action was heads up.

The flop was {4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Clubs} and Scafini checked. Amsellem bet 300,000 and Scafini called.

The turn was {3-Spades} and both players checked to see {8-Clubs} on the river.

Scafini checked once more on the river and Amsellem fired 1,500,000. Scafini called without much hesitation and turned over {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a pair of aces. Amsellem showed {q-Spades}{6-Spades} for queen high and tossed the losing hand in the muck.

Guimond Gets Pressured by Nagygyorgy

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Tibor Nagygyorgy opened to 225,000 from the hijack and Florian Guimond three-bet to 650,000 in the cutoff. Action folded back to Nagygyorgy who called.

The dealer spread the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop and Nagygyorgy check-called a bet of 700,000.

Both players checked the {4-Spades} turn to the {6-Diamonds} river. Nagygyorgy led for 700,000 and Guimond took some time to think about the decision. After some time, the clock was called.

"Who called time?" Guimond asked.

"I," responded Nagygyorgy.

The floor came over and started the clock procedure. As he counted down to zero, Guimond remained motionless and let his cards be mucked without action.

"Sorry, part of the game," Nagygyorgy said, as he mentioned putting pressure on Guimond's decision.

Guimond was frustrated and said Nagygyorgy had taken a lot of time for previous decisions and the clock was never called. Another player at the table agreed, but the floor clarified that it's within the rules to call the clock if a sufficient amount of time passes, and Nagygyorgy added the chips to his stack.
