Ensan Runs Out of Time

Level 3 : 100/300, 300 ante
Hossein Ensan
Hossein Ensan

Akan Kaya limped in from middle position and Hossein Ensan called from the next seat over. A player in the cutoff made it 1,200 and both players called. The flop was {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades} and all three players checked to see {7-Clubs} on the turn. Kaya bet 1,700 and Ensan called while the cutoff got out of the way. The river was {3-Diamonds} and both players checked before Ensan mucked after Kaya turned over {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a pair of tens. Ensan had just 5,000 remaining at the end of the hand.

A few hands later, Kaya raised to 1,200 and Ensan committed the rest of it. Kaya called to put him at risk.

Hossein Ensan: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Akan Kaya: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and the queens held to send the former WSOP Main Event champion to the rail in the early stages of Day 1b.
