Vayssieres Felted by Regonaschi

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Nicolas Vayssieres
Nicolas Vayssieres

Just over 100 players remain in contention and there were two all-in showdowns in quick succession over on table eleven. David Comeron was felted by Ana Marquez and soon after, Nicolas Vayssieres ended up at risk for 135,000 before the flop against Marco Regonaschi.

Nicolas Vayssieres: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Marco Regonaschi: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The dominated pair found no help on the {j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} board and that spelled the end for Vayssieres.

Patacconi No More After Clash With Aldemir

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

At one of the former feature tables, Leonardo Patacconi got his shorter stack in with the {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

Koray Aldemir looked him up with the dominating {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and there was no upset on the {9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts} board, eliminating Patacconi in the process.

Dalfo Batlle Eliminated by Julien

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ladislao Dalfo Batlle was already out of his chair when he tabled the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. He was dominated by the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} of Nicolas Julien and the {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{k-Spades} board not only kept the kings in the lead but improved Julien to a full house.

Farrell Makes a Wheel

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Niall Farrell raised it up from early position and was called by Daniel Golder in the cutoff and Ewen Trevidy in the big blind. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and the action checked to Golder who bet 14,000. Trevidy called as did Farrell.

The turn brought the {4-Clubs} and the action checked around to the {3-Diamonds} on the turn. Trevidy reached for a bet of 78,000 and Farrell thought for a minute before making the call. Golder quickly folded and Trevidy tabled {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a missed flush draw. Farrell showed {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a wheel and raked in the pot.

Sargsyan Flips Well Against Tantillo

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Fausto Tantillo raised to 11,000 in the cutoff and then called the shove by Aram Sargsyan on the button for 53,000 in total.

Aram Sargsyan: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
Fausto Tantillo: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop gave Sargsyan a gutshot and he improved thanks to the {j-Hearts} on the turn. Another blank followed on the {3-Hearts} river as Sargsyan stuck around for more.

Kitano Eliminated by Trevidy

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ewen Trevidy raised to 11,000 and then faced the push by Kosei Kitano for 61,000 total. After carefully counting his remaining stack, Trevidy committed to the call and was pleased with the showdown that unfolded.

Kosei Kitano: {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Ewen Trevidy: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

There was no help for the dominated pair on the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs} runout as Kitano was sent to the payout desk in the penultimate level of the night.

Gomez Zapatero Jumps Into the Lead

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

On a heads-up turn of {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{k-Clubs}, it appeared that Javier Gomez Zapatero out of the big blind and Julien Martini in an early position invested 125,000 each. Gomez Zapatero then bet the {9-Hearts} river for 94,000 and Martini called.

The Spaniard tabled the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for aces and kings in order to claim a very healthy pot.

Marquez Climbs Her Way Back to an Average Stack

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Ana Marquez
Ana Marquez

Ana Marquez and Marco Regonaschi were heads-up in a three-bet pot with the board reading {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. Marquez started with a check and Regonaschi shoved all in, into a pot of around 100,000. Marquez instantly called off her stack of 82,000 and tabled her hand.

Ana Marquez: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Marco Regonaschi: {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Despite turning a flush, Regonaschi was already drawing dead to the full house of Marquez. The {7-Hearts} on the river was insignificant and Marquez doubled up to nearly the average stack. Keep in mind, Marquez was down to just 18,000, or five big blinds during the money bubble.

Hamidou and Peyroles Eliminated

Level 16 : 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jules Hamidou somehow tangled in a larger preflop contest in which Leonard Herrmann was at risk for 167,000 with the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. The {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} of Hamidou were crushed and found no equity on the {j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades} board.

Soon after, Hamidou lost the remainder of it and headed to the payout desk.

There was another all-in showdown shortly after, however. Herrmann raised to 10,000 and Arnaud Peyroles jammed for 42,000 on the button. Mikita Badziakouski reshoved in the small blind and that isolated successfully.

Arnaud Peyroles: {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Mikita Badziakouski: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} flop saw Peyroles vault out of his seat and he was drawing dead on the {10-Diamonds} turn. He "improved" to a meaningless flush on the {6-Spades} river which a player pointed out. Peyroles sat back down, then saw his chips pushed over and realised what happened before also heading to the rail to collect his payout.
