Kamel Atoui raised to 3,000 and then called a three-bet to 15,000 by Jorge Cantos. The {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop was checked by Atoui and Cantos pushed big for more than 50,000 in order to get snap-called by Atoui.

Adjusted Schedule for Day 2

Tournament director Toby Stone announced the adjusted Main Event schedule for Day 2. There will be six and a half levels played with a 20-minute break every level and a half, which makes for shifts of 2h15m each.

The 75-minute dinner break is scheduled to take place as of 7.35pm local time.

Martini Skyrockets Into the Top Spot

Julien Martini raised to 3,500 from under the gun and Gaelle Baumann called. Mario Mosboeck then pushed for 34,000 in the small blind and Francois Pirault called in the big blind. Martini four-bet jammed for 180,000 and Baumann called while Pirault got out of the way.

Fuchs Can't Hold with a Set

Florian Fuchs opened to 3,500 from the hijack and Guillaum Diaz defended from the big blind. The flop came {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Diaz checked to Fuchs who threw in a bet of 2,500. Diaz check-raised to 10,000 and Fuchs just called.

The turn brought the {q-Diamonds} and Diaz dropped in a stack of 5,000 chips. Fuchs instantly called off his remaining 18,000 chips and the cards were tabled.

Calamusa Chips Up Early On

In a three-bet pot with 11,000 each invested to the {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, Pierre Calamusa check-raised to 25,500 and was called only by Lucas Sfez from two seats over. As they headed to the {4-Spades} turn, Calamusa bet 24,500 and Sfez mulled over his decision for a while before tapping the table in defeat and folding.

Baumann Wins the First One

Gaelle Baumann raised it up from under the gun and picked up three callers along the way. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{j-Spades} and Baumann continued with a bet of 9,000. Danut Chisu called from the cutoff and they went heads-up to the {7-Spades} on the turn.

Baumann sized up another bet of 21,000 this time which put Chisu in the tank. After a couple of minutes, he finally ditched his cards to the muck and Baumann collected the pot.
