Three Small Bets from Quoss

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Fabian Quoss raised to 3,500 on the button and was called by Mikalai Vaskaboinikau in the big blind. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Vaskaboinikau check-called a bet of 3,000 from Quoss.

The {2-Spades} paired the board on the turn and Vaskaboinikau check-called another bet of 8,000 from Quoss. The river was the {6-Hearts} and Vaskaboinikau checked for the third time. Quoss made a third bet of 11,000 this time and Vaskaboinikau laid his hand down.

Gamboa Doubles; Kamphues Busts

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Lars Kamphues
Lars Kamphues

Benjamin Spragg raised to 3,500 and Quilcate Gamboa pushed for 26,000 in the small blind. Claas Segebrecht called in the big blind and Spragg folded.

Quilcate Gamboa: {a-Spades}{6-Spades}
Claas Segebrecht: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

The {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{q-Diamonds} board delivered the ace for Gamboa to double. Christopher Frank had ran over to the table in order to witness the showdown and sighed "never lucky" to his compatriot Segebrecht.

Shortly after, Lars Kamphues raised and Alain Goldberg three-bet to 11,000 from two seats over. Kamphues moved all-in for around 32,000 and was called by Goldberg with the slightly superior stack.

Lars Kamphues: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Alain Goldberg: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The most classic flip in poker ended the tournament for Kamphues on the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{a-Hearts} board as Goldberg flopped trips and rivered a full house for good measure.

Coren Mitchell Eliminated by Andrian

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Vicky Coren
Vicky Coren

The action started with a button raise to 4,000 by Jonathon Genovese Darling and Victoria Coren Mitchell then pushed for what appeared to be 35,000 in the small blind. Simone Andrian moved all-in over the top from the big blind and the initial raiser folded.

Victoria Coren Mitchell: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Simone Andrian: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

"Hallelujah ... good luck," Patrik Antonius in the one seat said upon seeing the bad news for the two-time EPT Main Event winner.

Nothing at all changed on the {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} board and Coren Mitchell wished all opponents a nice day before heading out of the Salle des Etoiles.

Losev Successfully Jams Up the Stack

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Iraj Parvizi was among the Day 2 entries and quickly tripled up his stack before he just now suffered a small setbck. The Brit open-raised to 4,000 in the cutoff and Ramon Colillas caled on the button. Alexey Losev three-bet to 20,000 in the big blind and Parvizi quickly called.

The {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop brought a continuation bet worth 11,000 by Losev and Parvizi came along to the {9-Diamonds} turn. Losev now mulled over his move for a good two minutes and played around with a small coin before pushing for what appeared to be 51,000. Parvizi quickly folded and Losev raked in the pot.

Rezaei continued with a bet of 3,500 and Mariani raised to 10,000. Rezaei responded with a re-raise to 28,500 and Mariani called.

Small Pot for Dzivielevski

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Laurie Tournier was unable to run up her stack after re-entering prior to the start.

The latest hand on her former table involved two big stacks and Bryan Paris in the small blind as they checked the {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Paris announced king-high and Claudio Di Giacomo mucked but Yuri Dzivielevski had the best hand with {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for a pair of sevens.

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Gaelle Baumann
Gaelle Baumann

Gaelle Baumann doubled with aces versus ace-queen and was then involved in a multi-way pot. Csaba Bakk led the {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} turn for 6,000 out of the big blind and Baumann called in middle position.

The {6-Hearts} river brought a straight on the board and Bakk jammed, Baumann called all-in for 12,000.

Bakk tabled the {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Baumann doubled once more with the {a-Spades}{10-Spades} for the ten-high straight.

Kyte Doubles Through Lefrancois

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Pascal Lefrancois raised to 3,000 in middle position and Ole Schemion flat-called on his left. Jon Kyte was in the big blind and shoved all in for 28,500. Lefrancois asked for a count and then called which forced a fold from Schemion.

Jon Kyte: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Pascal Lefrancois: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Kyte took the lead with a pair of queens. The {5-Spades} on the turn and the {a-Hearts} on the river changed nothing as Kyte scored an early double-up.
