Diaz Finds a Double Up

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Guillaume Diaz
Guillaume Diaz

Kent Roed opened to 6,000 in middle position and was called by Guillaume Diaz in the cutoff along with the big blind. The flop came {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and the action checked to Diaz who bet 6,500. The big blind called and Roed check-raised to 25,000. Diaz called and the big blind stepped aside.

The turn was the {q-Clubs} and Roed moved all in, followed by a snap-call from Diaz for his remaining 76,000 chips. Roed turned over {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} but Diaz had {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for a better kicker. The river was the {7-Hearts} and Diaz held on for a full double up.

Jachimavicius Eliminated by Motte

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Koray Aldemir raised to 6,500 and received two callers before Justinas Jachimavicius pushed a shorter stack on the button. Fabien Motte called in the small blind and that forced out everybody else.

Justinas Jachimavicius: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Fabien Motte: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The {j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs} board delivered no help to Jachimavicius and he was sent to the rail.

Aldemir Leaves Barukcic Short

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A completed board of {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} was spread across the felt and Koray Aldemir was heads-up with Goran Barukcic. With a little over 50,000 in the middle already, Barukcic made a bet of 46,000.

Aldemir looked him up and Barukcic showed {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a missed flush draw. Aldemir turned over {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a made flush and was awarded the pot, leaving Barukcic near 10 big blinds.

Vetiiko Eliminated by Herrmann

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After coming back from the break, Pavlo Vertiiko and [Removed:510] jammed their short stacks to pick up the blinds and antes. Leonard Herrmann then raised to 6,000 and Vertiiko pushed for 51,000 in order for Herrmann to call.

Pavlo Vertiiko: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Leonard Herrmann: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The pocket pair remained ahead on the {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} board and that spelled the end for Vertiiko.

Dispute on Table 13 Results in a 20-Minute Hand

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

There was a discussion taking place on Table 13 and the floorman was called to the table. A completed board of {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} was spread across the table and both hands were face up. Kazuhiko Yotsushika held {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and Halil Coknez had {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Both players were all in on the turn and the only part that was clear was that Yotsushika was the player at risk.

After the river, the dealer made an error thinking that Coknez won the pot, pushing all of Yotsushika's chips across the table. Once the error was realized, it was too late as both of the stacks had been pushed together and neither player knew exactly how many chips they had.

It was discussed repeatedly with other players at the table but nobody appeared to have a distinct answer. Multiple floor staff were called to resolve the issue and after nearly 20 minutes of not playing any hands, it was decided that Yotsushika started the hand with 90,000 chips and would be paid accordingly.
