Steve O'Dwyer Eliminated in 5th Place (€30,430 in Cash + €10,000 Mystery Bounty)

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Jean-Noel Thorel made it 125,000 to go from under the gun and Imad Derwiche went into the tank with a short stack. He used three time banks, mentioned "I am tired guys" and then folded. Sergi Reixach called on the button, Belarmino De Souza did so in the small blind.

Steve O'Dwyer had 175,000 behind in the big blind and inquired if a shove by him would re-open the action, which was not the case as he needed at least 190,000 for a full raise. O'Dwyer then flat-called and jammed the {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop for the last 50,000, earning three calls.

They checked through the {a-Spades} turn and {j-Clubs} river as O'Dwyer tabled the {j-Spades}{4-Spades}. De Souza had {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, Reixach exposed the {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Thorel had the best of it with {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. As the Frenchman drew the envelope for the Mystery Bounty, he grabbed the €50,000 prize and earned applause from the remaining opponents and other players in the room.

As for O'Dwyer, his run ended in 5th place for a cash prize of €30,430.

Imad Derwiche Eliminated in 4th Place (€38,420 in Cash + €100,000 Mystery Bounty)

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Imad Derwiche
Imad Derwiche

Imad Derwiche moved all-in from under the gun with the far shortest stack and Sergi Reixach went all-in over the top in the cutoff. Belarmino De Souza went into the tank in the small blind and reluctantly folded while he was enduring some chatter by Derwiche.

Once it was on Jean-Noel Thorel in the big blind, the Frenchman called and the following three-way all-in unfolded.

Imad Derwiche: {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Jean-Noel Thorel: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Sergi Reixach: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

"That's good for me," Derwiche said with a big smile. However, his two live cards found no help on the {4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Spades} board and the Frenchman had to settle for a cash prize of €38,420 and previously earned Mystery Bounty of €100,000.

His bounty prize was a team work between Thorel and Reixach with the latter suggesting the golden hand in the previous draw qualified Thorel to pick the envelope. It was then Reixach who opened it as they sweated a €15,000 prize to be chopped between them.

Reixach Takes an Even Bigger Chip Lead

Level 22 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Just before the level went up, Belarmino De Souza raised to 120,000 from the button and both Jean-Noel Thorel and Sergi Reixach called in the blinds.

They all checked through the {8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop to the {a-Diamonds} on the turn. It was checked to De Souza again but he now opted to bet 160,000. Thorel folded but Reixach raised it up to 500,000 which De Souza called.

The river completed the board with the {2-Diamonds} and Reixach barreled a bet of 500,000 into the pot. De Souza considered it for a bit and then called but mucked when Reixach tabled the {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for two pair, aces and treys.

More for Reixach

Level 23 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel limped in on the button and Sergi Reixach completed his small blind. Belarmino De Souza looked down at his cards and then opted to check.

The flop came {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}, it was checked to Thorel who bet 100,000 which only Reixach called.

They both checked through the {9-Diamonds} on the turn to the {5-Diamonds} on the river. Reixach bet 200,000 for Thorel to fold.

Thorel Gets Some Off Reixach

Level 23 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Sergi Reixach raised to 160,000 on the button and Jean-Noel Thorel called in the big blind. On the {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop, Thorel check-called for 125,000 and the {3-Diamonds} turn went check, check. After the {a-Clubs} river, Thorel bet 200,000 and Reixach folded while suspecting a bluff. Instead, Thorel rolled over the {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs} with a big smile and the words "no bluff".

Shortly after, Thorel limped the small blind and Reixach raised to 300,000. Thorel snap-jammed and the Spaniard folded, mentioning in table chat he let go of king-jack.

Triple Up for De Souza

Level 23 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel opened to 200,000 on the button and Sergi Reixach called in the small blind. Belarmino De Souza then pushed all-in out of the big blind for 285,000 and both his opponents called.

They checked it all the way on the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} board and Reixach tabled the {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Thorel had the {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and De Souza tripled up with {j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

Belarmino De Souza Eliminated in 3rd Place (€49,930)

Level 23 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Belarmino De Souza
Belarmino De Souza

Sergi Reixach jammed his superior stack into the table short stack Belarmino De Souza, who more than happily called and had the best of it preflop.

Belarmino De Souza: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Sergi Reixach: {5-Spades}{4-Spades}

It was a potential shift in momentum with De Souza on the verge of doubling for nearly one million. However, Reixach picked up a flush draw on the {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop which he then instantly completed on the {j-Spades} turn. That made the {4-Hearts} river a formality and it was time to draw for the golden envelope once more.

Even De Souza was there and filmed with his smart phone. Two €10,000 bounties and the elusive €100,000 top prize were still up for grabs. Reixach peeled slowly and then celebrated vividly when he indeed nailed the €100,000 Mystery Bounty.

Moments later, De Souza headed to the payout desk to collect his cash prize of €49,930.

Instead of a Split Pot, Thorel Scores the Double-Up

Level 23 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Jean-Noel Thorel
Jean-Noel Thorel

Sergi Reixach raised to 165,000 from the button and Jean-Noel Thorel three-bet to 480,000. Reixach four-bet jammed with the bigger stack for Thorel to snap-call for the 3,200,000 he had behind.

Jean-Noel Thorel: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Sergi Reixach: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

When the players and railers saw the hole cards, they were all prepared for a split pot but the excitement grew with each card of the board that was being dealt as it ran out {5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for Thorel to hit the runner-runner nut flush to double up to a big chip lead.
